About
He Who Watches is an atmospheric first-person puzzle game that tasks you with navigating a seemingly impossible structure. Grapple with spatial reasoning and shifts in perspective to solve mind-bending puzzle chambers in a mysterious puzzle-platformer where every surface is a possible pathway.
Your bow is not a weapon, but a puzzle-solving tool used to manipulate your environment. Together with a single, magical arrow, you can open doors, move blocks, activate switches, and pull yourself across gaps with its magical chain.
Walk on walls. Walk on ceilings. Shift gravity as you slip between these planes, creating chain reactions to find the correct path forward. Patience and persistence are key to unlocking each solution.
What lies at the heart of this ancient labyrinth? How vast is this enigmatic structure? He Who Watches is full of secret paths, hidden mechanics, and cryptic symbols that invite you to look closer. Seek the imprisoned god at the centre. He is waiting.

Great puzzle game that really invokes the feeling of getting stuck in Portal
I am very likely to flip this review, but for now this game gets a negative review due to how poor the performance for the game is. Even with my top of the lines specs ill sometimes get sub 140 fps on minimal settings, genuinely insane The gameplay is great though
Instant classic. Tight puzzle design, great insight mechanic for hints, and the meta puzzles have been so cool. Can't recommend this enough to any puzzle fan.

Very neat puzzle game
This is an excellent excellent rule discovery puzzler. I've found all the puzzles to have very logical solutions through applying the game's mechanics. it's just a matter of finding, learning and building upon those mechanics by wandering and experimenting around different levels. It has that sense of momentum where, as you begin to master the game, old areas become easy. It's definitely a slow burner like Baba is You, a game you chip away at over a long time, not something you should try to finish over one weekend.
loving this one already although my brain is hurting!
The puzzles in this game are absolutely brilliant. Anyone who loves having that grid logic cog in their brain stimulated will enjoy this. Taking a standard 'door and switch' puzzle format but adding a bow+arrow to it - as well as walking up walls and on ceilings - really introduces something fresh-feeling and satisfying (also, firing arrows is just fun). As with everything from this studio, the difficulty curve is sensitively pitched for unfrustrated enjoyment. They've put in little optional mini-levels ('guidance altars') to introduce new mechanics if needed. You can ignore them and figure everything out for yourself, or you can use them to see an interaction which you might not have realised. It's not hand-holding, or hinting...it was just the right amount of rule-establishing for me (though sometimes I ignored it because I could already see what I had to do). This is the kind of game I really enjoy, and if you also like movement grid puzzlers then I think you will too.
Only about 7 hours in, and I can already say this is one of the most interesting puzzle games of the last years. It's the perfect game for anyone who liked the deep sokobans, like Stephen's Sausage Roll, Bonfire Peaks, Monster's Expedition, etc. - games with simple rules but complex interactions. It maintains the tradition of these games to never overcomplicate a solution: it usually comes down to a simple idea that hides a special interaction between objects in the environment. It doesn't require much time or effort to execute it: once you get it, it just clicks. It also follows the trend of overworlds with meta puzzles and secrets, giving the impression that you are immersed in a overarching mystery-world with its own logic. This is an easy recommend for puzzle game fans.
