Haque is a glitch fantasy roguelike adventure about cute monsters, low-bit hauntings, and a suspiciously talkative narrator. Choose your character and battle through forests, deserts and dungeons to defeat a mysterious evil. Die often. Try again!

very charming minimal roguelike. highly recommended
Fun.
A fun and quirky dungeon-crawler where you can play as a dancing mushroom that can reanimate the dead and many other cool characters.

The Linux version doesn't seem to work or even start. Tried playing on Manjaro and SteamOS. If you're buying this maybe make sure you're buying for Windows specifically.
Pros: * Love the "glitch fantasy" theming, story, music. It's definitely a game with character * Great controller support * Nice variety of builds and weapons to explore * Not too easy or too hard Cons: * Seems like the game could be better balanced. I tried to succeed with a variety of different builds, but found there was one type of build that seemed to do better than others. (I won't tell you which to avoid spoiling it.) * Combat system not always well explained, especially around the "elemental" subsystem. So sometimes decisions about which gear to use feel a little arbitrary. * Procedurally generated levels are a bit formulaic.
It's incredibly unwieldy to play with a keyboard. Some things are just laborious to do. If you do decide to bring your mouse in then the keyboard stops functioning properly. If you then have your mouse leave to go back to keyboard-ing, some things stop working until you alt-tab out/in or do some other shenanigans with your mouse in/out. The game seems pretty find at it's core, and given the UI, I'd guess it works much better with a controller. Unfortunately I'm not in a situation where I can use a controller so it's a no from me.
YES
Great game! I just wish the controls were fixed for the steamdeck. This game is a steal for $1.49
Unequivocally one of the best roguelikes that's come out in years. This game was doing the kind of character-focused narrative that Hades became famous for *years* before Hades came out. The boss encounter design is top-tier, and the variety and viability of builds is tremendous. It plays great with a gamepad, too. I'm a huge sucker for the pixellated art design, too.
