Halo: Spartan Assault

Game is currently broken on modern systems. Launches to a black screen, cannot be closed via task manager forcing a restart. Microslop is unlikely to ever fix it. Sorry to those outside the return window.

it might be a good game but it doesn't boot, gets stuck at black screen. none of he online help helps. add : - got it to run hence upvoting it. it is a decent top down action shooter in halo-verse

Halo: Spartan Assault was a bore from start to finish. While I appreciate that the developers were trying something different with the franchise, I consider this experiment a failure. The game introduces nearly all of its mechanics within the first hour, and there's simply not enough depth to sustain the experience for its roughly three-hour campaign. Once you've seen what it has to offer, there's very little left to keep you engaged. It feels underdeveloped and lacking in meaningful progression or variety. An easy warning against it.
