I had fun with this game briefly but that was with a full private lobby. Playing with randoms gets so boring and repetitive, not to mention the game is super janky. Halloween The Game gave me a few hours of fun but after that it was a snooze fest in my honest opinion. It sucks to say but if you want to play an asymmetrical horror game... your best bet is Dead By Daylight... I really wanted to like this game and it is fun but not worth the original $40. Only get this on a DEEP discount.
I want to like this game, I really do. But I paid $60 for this. I think they have forgotten what made Friday the 13th the game so much fun. It was a party game at heart, built around socializing and trying to survive the masked killer. It had one goal, survive. Not play an escort mission with bots that stand and stare as Michael eviscerates another persons throat. The players should be special targets, not the bots. The bots should be bodies that keep Michael from you. Michael should have incentive to interact with the players. Increase that player count. All current survivor cooperation falls down to "did you find this yet?" otherwise we just stand around and do ♥♥♥♥ all while Michael is technically winning by not playing with the actual players. The goal should be to escape, with incentive to save residents. Like even on the Myers side of things, its so lame to kill all the players and now you just have to power walk around or "shape jump" just to kill brainless npcs, just to have number go up. Not to mention, the win condition is so arbitrary and lame. Get 3000 points and you win. Kill all three special targets and tada! your did it! No recovery for the survivors. Do it quickly by using the easiest and fastest way, by cutting throats open. Avoid all the fun animations until you meet quota, and you'll want to be quick too! The survivors essentially have limitless stamina and you'd never realistically catch them in the open without reality tear. Why would someone hide inside when the open streets are legitimately and infinitely more safe. With that bottomless pit of stamina they can reach all corners of the map to spam call the police to arrive have the jalopy arrive pretty quickly. The easiest way to escape. Skip the need to find a repair kit, gas can, and car keys. In some ways the game feels fast paced while Myers is suffering from Parkinson's disease.

The game is so interactive. Their are some early access bugs but the devs seem happy to fix them as quickly as possible. The game play loop is addictive and arresting Mikey is hard but with a coordinated team getting a civilian victory is pretty doable. my new favorite game with friends! The solo campaign is also good and the challenges and different death animations make every playthrough worth it!
Games fun, everyone has their own opinions. Definitely $40 worth, also the story mode is the tutorial for how to play Michael better.
nice game
I love the game and its concept because i was a GIANT fan of FT13 and recommend this game to anyone who just wants a laugh with the voice chat and a good time on a classic asim. there is def issues with the movement and animations however its great all around other then that imo worth the money,
Most fun I've had in a long time. Well played horror with Michael feeling like a strong character with survivors also being very capable of getting away. The story mode and multiplayer are both a ton of fun
It's got bugs, but those will get patched. It has great potential, and it IS fun to play, and that is what's important.
