It’s Halloween night, 1978, the unsuspecting families of the quiet suburban town of Haddonfield are making holiday preparations, and evil has made its way home. Take The Shape of Evil as Michael Myers or save your neighbors as a Hero of Haddonfield in Halloween, the ultimate asymmetrical horror sandbox.
As Michael, players wear the mask, become the Boogeyman, and stalk innocent residents with relentless obsession. Utilizing a nightmarish array of abilities, Michael leverages shadows and stealth to satisfy his bloodthirst. This doesn’t mean Haddonfield is going down without a fight. Frightened townsfolk will call the local authorities and even fight back when threatened, incentivizing Michael to avoid detection. And for the first time ever, fans of the transformative original film will have the option to witness the haunting narrative events surrounding "The Night He Came Home" through the eyes of Michael Myers in a standalone singleplayer story mode.
As a Hero of Haddonfield, it’s your job to alert the residents of Haddonfield to the impending evil and help them escape before falling victim to Michael’s unyielding pursuit. In dynamic and ever-changing 1v4 asymmetrical multiplayer matches, hero players must arm themselves with everyday household items, weapons, and knowledge to combat an unpredictable and unkillable enemy. Convincing townsfolk and contacting the police will lead to increasingly powerful and thorough neighborhood patrols. To even the odds, you can command and equip NPCs with weapons to outsmart or even overpower The Shape, providing precious windows for escape.
This immersive horror sandbox is powered by Unreal Engine 5 to deliver engaging and dynamic gameplay systems, life-like NPCs, hauntingly realistic visuals, cinema-quality lighting, and endless scares for you and your friends. Asymmetrical horror comes home in Halloween.

I love the game and its concept because i was a GIANT fan of FT13 and recommend this game to anyone who just wants a laugh with the voice chat and a good time on a classic asim. there is def issues with the movement and animations however its great all around other then that imo worth the money,
I like it
1. Honestly speaking this might be the most poorly optimized game I've ever played in my lifetime. I'm running my gig on a 5K2K screen with all graphic settings to be high, and the FPS heavily fluctuates between 5 to 60 (yeah, as abysmal as 5 during the execution) 2. There were a few times when I finished my QTE but still got executed by Michael. If you wanna say that's the difference of one millisecond yeah sure. 3. The special NPCs are too stupid to get in your getaway car if you wanna escape in that fashion 4. I don't know how to change the key bindings because there's literally no option 5. Like DBD, if you queue solo it is torturing. Even worse, given that this game has no ELO system you never know how bad your teammates can be. Your gaming experience is not guaranteed. 6. Some minor bugs during the singleplayer experience, but they are tolerable. This game has great potential if the devs are willing to keep working on this. So far if you have friends playing with you it's all right (I queue duo). Otherwise wait for future updates.
Optimization is terrible. I hope they fix the optimization before release.
I had fun with this game briefly but that was with a full private lobby. Playing with randoms gets so boring and repetitive, not to mention the game is super janky. Halloween The Game gave me a few hours of fun but after that it was a snooze fest in my honest opinion. It sucks to say but if you want to play an asymmetrical horror game... your best bet is Dead By Daylight... I really wanted to like this game and it is fun but not worth the original $40. Only get this on a DEEP discount.
I love this game already fav killer oat and I will be enjoying this game :)
Its fun but does take some getting used to. The comedy of the interactions, unique game play everytime and even a lot of the bugs only adds to it. It's in its test phase now and being patched. I think it's totally worth it and will only improve over time. Tons of fun tho, if you can be patient
