Hacknet is an immersive, terminal-based hacking simulator for PC. Dive down a rabbit hoIe as you follow the instructions of a recently deceased hacker, whose death may not have been the accident the media reports.

me put letters in terminal me feel good
I enjoy this game, but i just cannot ignore that the game does not fit to my mac's screen. I have played only 6 hours but that couldve been 10 hours, im just annoyed by the game not fitting, i just use the mac's zoom and i guess that works but still remains in my mind. the game is not beefy, doesent require that much space. the gameplay is really good, i really like the story and all, only navigation is a problem, i dont like searching ALL networks to only open one. however if you open this game atleast one month later, you will only remember 50% of the commands. its sometimes hard to figure out what to really do the pricing is not bad would i play this game again? no. but dont get me wrong, it was an awesome game, it just wont feel the same again i really dont know why

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I didn't think that a terminal simulator can be this addictive. Very simplified Linux terminal to be exact, the game allows to use UI to navigate directories. There is no option to create file, there is no option to remove the entire directory ('rm *' is the only available option and it wipes only the content of your current directory), though these options may be unnecessary to most players, I actually felt like I found a great solution to the quest but was unable to do it due to the game limitations. The final quest of the main story with Sequencer.exe is something else. I felt it.
gioco molto bello per chi è appassionato di questo genere di cose, molto intrigante!
What a great game, it is one of those games you buy because it looks okay but when you start to play, it just keeps on giving! Love it!
El juego es bastante bueno, uno necesita un poquito de ayuda de las guias, pero muy bueno e imersivo
Thanks for the game, I loved it! Having said that, I had a few issues. The first one was the netMap UI. Honestly it's super hard to navigate, see connections between servers, and the icons only display on hover on the bottom right. This means theme switching to one of the themes where the netmap is placed in the bottom right makes many icons completely unreadable. Second, the two times I got stuck and had to look up a guide (I really didn't want to but replayed both quests and still couldn't solve them alone). The first time was the en server, we get the password in a txt file, but the username is not mentioned or hinted at. Knowing it was admin was a pretty big jump, I spent ages typing in random names listed in text files across the game before looking it up to discover it was admin. The second time I got stuck was even sillier. The relay server gives you a password of h7ggNKl2, which I thought ended in a 12 instead of L2. A different font (console fonts typically don't have those readability issues), or a different password, or a capitalized letter will solve that issue I am sure many others had.
Highly addicting and immersive. Some very clever puzzles. Remarkably accessible.
The greatest hacking game that's ever lived
I like it, Im focused when playing it, but Im not having "fun". Still, everyone that likes a terminal should experience it
