Reviews
Solid game, you should definitely pick it up on a sale, can be beaten in like 4 hours and you need less than 10 hours to get all the achievements, which was really fun to do!

very worth it
Gunpoint is a good game. So why is this review negative? I have a policy where I expect at least 1 hour of content per $ spent on a game, and this game only provided me with 6 hours of content for $10. The game has low replayability value, and I will not be returning to it. Disclaimer aside, Gunpoint is a solid stealth puzzler based on maneuvering around guards and manipulating the electronic environment (doors, lights, cameras) to remain hidden or cause chaos. Nothing about it stands out as amazing in 2026, but much like a classic novel, it is clear why it was an indie hit when it came out. The only thing that bugged me about the game itself was that when you tabbed out the graphics became blurry upon return, needing a relaunch to fix.

"8 dead. 29 injured. 20 jobs. $13,000. I've had better weeks. They don't let me name names on this blog, but the person behind the hit I was investigating is probably being picked up by the East Point police about now. I, er, may have killed more people than I actually avenged here. I didn't get the trigger man. When it came down to it, it turned out I didn't care. I don't know. Sometimes I think I picked the wrong side. Maybe that doesn't matter. Maybe all that matters is that I now have the ability to kick down doors. Either way, I need a drink." Really enjoyed this :) Fun mechanics that are easy to learn and fun to play around with to figure out satisfying and challenging puzzles
Good gameplay mechanics that don't get tired in short game, good story writing
It is a very well designed game, aside from one unbelievable bug, that is it does not change resolution for itself, but rather for the whole desktop. Haven't seen anything like that for something like 15 years? This kind of bug is something that MUST be fixed, if the developer is to retain any kind of pride over his work! Aside from that missions are quick and fun, level design is very good. Only the plot is perfect until it gets really overcomplicated. You get to the point when anyone could have done it basically... Instead of finding more clues to narrow down your idea and crossing out people who could not do it, which is the way that good detective stories are written, here you got more and more suspects and everyone has a motive, everyone could do it. Maybe the creator got carried away a little bit and did not have the plot thought out thorougly in advance. Thats a shame, as this may well be one of the best games in the genre. As it is, it sits just above average. It is kind of rare when game in default settings forces you into doing the same action (scrolling the view) differently based on "movement" or "socket switching" mode. Also it wants you to use keyboard arrows in movement mode, when you must do asdf... And lets you use mouse in socket switching, which does not allow you to move anyway... uff. It can't remember vsync settings. It says vsync on but screen is tearing. Have you tried to turn it off and on again? B)
Good, fun, classic side scroll-platformer game. Not terribly long, but fun enough to scratch my Noire itch. Some of my hours at the time of this review were from back-playing for achievement, granted before I discovered you can simply play specific missions for the different choices and backing up your save folder for others (thanks Gunpoint Guide I found eheh), overall for the price its short and sweet and highly recommended if you enjoy pixel style games with retro gameplay.
some bastard insulted my hat so I football tackled him so hard we both went out a window of a ten story building and fell to his death. then I wrote a blog post about it. 12/10 loved every second
