One of the best MMORPG games I have ever played. The game has that 2000s-Early 2010s MMO charm that makes me feel very nostalgic for a era that was the golden age of MMOs to many. Also unlike WoW, FFXI and FFXIV you don't even need a subscription to play or enjoy this game. Along with the price being as cheap as a meal from Chili's making this game a must play.
Excellent game, now getting updates again after many years.

Never played it back in the day when it first released. But my friends used to always bring it up during our OSRS days. Now that i've finally tried it, i can see why it was so popular. There are a few systems that seem so ahead of it's time. It's weird feeling nostalgia for a game i never played. i'm loving it.
As a returning player (since the age of 13/14 - all DLC's), I CANNOT recommend this game to anyone. Some of my characters have completed campaigns and it was an absolute nightmare and horrible experience, over-complex missions (some absolutely require players not AI party). Here's the main issues which keep making me quit (repeatedly throughout the ages): 1: Some NPC skills are so incredibly overpowered, you can (or your entire party) can lose 50% of their health, INSTANTLY, be blinded, crippled, dismembered (massive loss of HP bar), before you've even swung your first attack. 2: No threat, if AI enemies run past you and attack your monks, good luck...you're screwed. 3: The difficult curve on ALL campaigns goes from Chill, moderate to near insanity and otherwise just quitting the game entirely normally with 4/5 hours of character creation. 4: Pull one group to many, insta-death...30 minutes or so lost. 5: Getting gold outside of missions is tiresome, sometimes nearly impossible (unless you've got a 15 year old unicorn build with Elite Skills when everyone use to play). 6: Factions is great, then the final 50% end game is horse-s***. 7: Prophecies missions are so complicated, time sensitive and so easy to fumble, well before Lions Reach. 8: Standing for ages, after leaving combat and waiting for your Deep Wound, Crippled, Blind, Dismembered conditions to disappear. 9: Enemies just constantly being able to knock down your party (the entirety of your group), without anyone moving - seriously needs to be reworked. 10: Most builds and valuable skills to make the game easier are normally end game, defeating the purpose; hence why people quit. 10: Game is dead, despite being re-released, I'm on most servers and no-one wants to do missions, people keep quitting (for reasons above) and its a loitering game, like Scions of Fate. People don't play it, they just stand in a city and hope ONE person notices their character per day. Before anyone calls me a noob, I've got multiple campaigns finished, Elite skills on my account on my heroes, lots of epic gear I must of abandoned years ago, PvP ranks. This game is insufferable for me now, with these benefits; I can't image what hell new players have to go through. Since I played the big 3 at the same time, here's my ratings: WoW classic 8, OSRS 6.5-7, Guild Wars 1 just 5. Some days it's meh, other days it sh**s on you from up high and gives you the finger; causing you to put down the game for decades at a time. Solely nostalgia, but it's not...as the worlds are still empty and no-one helps on missions. Good game 20 years ago, complete trash and heavily out-dated/ unfair by todays standard.
This game is just not for solo gameplay it has the worst npc's ever and your character is never strong enough to do the content of the game epsecially the hard stuff so unless they buff main characters and the npc's its just not worth playing it it makes you feel useless and not have any progression at any point in the game
So gameplay wise this is actually very fun and silly. Probably one of the better MMORPGs I've played over the years and man let me tell you this game has not aged well which adds to it charm of being silly. I love it. Over all I'd give this game a 8/10. Something this game lacks is active character customization since steam players are unable to access the shop/store in the game and submitting a help ticket doesn't actually do anything so thats a shame on their part for customer service as well as character creation. But if you can get past looking basic then it's a really fun game. I got this alittle bit ago and so me and my man could play together and it's been a ton of fun listening to the bad voice acting and silly animations of the NPCs and player characters. DO NOT GET THIS GAME ON STEAM GET IT FROM THEIR WEBSITE. I can not stress this enough. This game has pretty horrible steam support so I'd say please learn from my mistake and get it from their website directly if you want to play it DO NOT BUY IT HERE.
Made it to the end of Prophecies and just little to no motivation to go on. The game is fine if it's your thing. I'm just not the target audience.
Sorry I wasted money on this.
Only old mmo that i played so far that had gameplay quick and complex enough to be enjoyable. Tons of skills than you can respec at any time and play around with. Henchman bots that fill your party are the best ai that i ever seen, and later you get fully customizable heroes. Quests are all interesting and never ,,get 5 wolf pelts,, .Fast travel system and how maps are small and dense makes it way less of a slog than other old mmos.
Merits: ▪ Interesting setting & lore ▪ Buy to play, no monthly fees ▪ Controller support ▪ Playable on mobile devices ▪ Good variety of classes Flaws: ▪ Weak writing, pacing is all over the place ▪ Difficulty ramps up fast ▪ Missions take a long time ▪ Not really solo friendly ▪ Requires grinding for skills and gear ▪ Limited character customisation Verdict: Let me start by saying that this is not a true MMORPG, more of an instanced online deck builder action RPG. I remember playing this back in the day on a friend's computer when it came out. It seemed so nice and interesting, and I loved the fact that it had no monthly subscriptions. I did not understand English that much at the time and did not get far in the game. With the release of Reforged and being available on mobile, I figured it is a great time to check it out again. I started in Prophecies and the beginning of the game was really nice and doable alone, but the difficulty ramped up fast to a point where it was impossible to do anything alone. Personally I play games for their stories and the Prophecies campaign has very cliched and weak writing, the pacing is off. At the end of the day, it quickly started to feel like a chore and did not feel the desire to keep suffering for very little reward. Unless you are an extroverted person who loves socialising and happy to require others' help for every little thing, I cannot recommend this game. Rating: ★★★☆☆ - Above Average
