About
Play by the 4-heroes team. Defend against the hordes of monsters, plan your moves, improve your abilities. Defeat all the enemies on each level and join the deadly fight with Boss!

An original turn-based battle system
Eight heroes with unique abilities and battle techique
А lot of additional skills, a variety of magical items
An unlimited choice of game tactics
Additional difficulty levels, which will become a real challenge even for the most experienced strategist
The main feature of the game is a unique turn-based battle system. You command the team of 4 heroes, 3 of which are fighting on the front line, while the 4th is recovering health behind the backs of his team-mates. To make a move you need to change positions of any two heroes. If the hero moves from the back line to the front, he uses superattack. For example, the knight is thrilling the land, stunning all the enemies on the line, while the huntress is charging a bow with energy, simultaneously firing arrows in all the enemies.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Had this game languishing in my library for a few years; bought it because I like their main game so much (Warstone). Finally got around to playing and let me say it is really quite enjoyable. I find myself playing while listening to audiobooks or a youtube playlist. I actually really wish they'd go even further with this game; maybe make a Part II as there's a lot they can do with the characters - adding in some stuff from Warstone, perhaps, which was a huge part of my gaming life a few years ago when the game was hot. Buy it - you won't regret it if you like Tower Defense/Turn-Based Strategy. Take the few minutes necessary to learn it and you won't be disappointed.

This is a fun little strategy roguelike that is clearly set up in mobile game format, but for some reason was released for PC as a one time purchase instead. It's simple but engaging and can be bought on sale for essentially free. The only downside is that you can't save your progress mid-game and some runs can take 20-30 minutes. Looking forward to the sequel!
The game looks (and in some cases feels and plays) like a mobile game. I'm not a big fan of mobile games and yet i had a great time with Guards. It's perfect for when you just want to play something to relax and maybe listen to some music or watch some videos at the same time. The gameplay loop is a very clever mix of turn based, tower defense and puzzle elements. You have 4 heroes. Enemies attack you from 3 lanes. 3 of your heroes are in the front row (one in each lane) and one is in the back. The hero in the back regains some health. Each turn you either swap 2 heroes from the front row , or you swap the hero in the back with one of the heroes in the front and that triggers the special ability for the hero that gets swapped to the front row. And that's pretty much it. Simple yet very interesting. There's also an almost roguelite-ish meta progression. Between runs you get to unlock new heroes, make them stronger and get consumables. The only thing i didn't enjoy about the game is the MASSIVE amount of grind required in order to unlock everything and beat the game on the hardest difficulty. Get it on sale and i highly doubt you'll regret it!
TL;DR: Guards is a surprisingly fun game that has an easy-to-understand gameplay loop as well as a few challenges for those who seek them. Guards has a really simple gameplay loop that is easy to understand and fun. Each turn, you swap the places of two of your heroes, and they perform either special or normal moves depending on how you swap them. When a hero swaps from the first column to the second, they perform a special attack. You aim to create a synergistic team and survive through 10 levels, which consist of monsters with special abilities and a boss at the end. For a game made in 2016, I'm quite surprised by its quality. The first few hours were really fun, and I finished all the game modes in about 15 hours. The three different game modes differ in terms of enemy stats and abilities, and they each offer quite a challenge. One of the not-so-great aspects of Guards is that most of the time, the optimal play is either not important or too blatant. This is because, as you defeat enemies, you don't know where the next ones will spawn or what their types will be. I'm not saying it would be better that way, but due to this, Guards rely quite a lot on luck at certain encounters, and when it does not, it is quite easy to beat. The progression in Guards is in three main ways: consumables, hero upgrades, and team upgrades. It is a must to fail in the game a few times to actually be able to beat it, since you need more stats to overcome enemy waves. This results in a lot of grinding to beat the nightmare and hell game modes, as they require a lot of currency to spend to have a chance. So, if you are not a fan of grinding, the game should still last you a few hours before you are bored with it. Finally, I must say that a couple of achievements are problematic in Guards. One of them, "TERMINATOR," does not seem to unlock even when you complete its condition, and the "SAGE" achievement seems to be bugged, as the game does not give you enough "stars" to finish it. At least that's what happened with my three end-game saves. In short, Guards quite surprised me with its quality, and I easily had a few hours of fun with it and even finished the game in all three game modes in over 15 hours. If you don't mind a couple of achievements being stuck, I would suggest you play Guards, as it is quite affordable when it is on discount and provides a few hours of fun at least.
