Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you like souls-like games, Grimlord does a decent job of translating that formula into VR. At its core, it's exactly the kind of game you would expect: you're fighting enemies with weapons that you physically swing yourself. The good thing is that the combat gives you a lot of freedom. You can use a sword and shield, dual wield, carry heavier two handed weapons, throw weapons at enemies, or generally approach fights however you want. Most of the fun comes from experimenting with different ways to handle combat. That said, there isn't really anything particularly outstanding about the game right now. The enemy placement can sometimes feel a bit unfair, which reminded me of Dark Souls 2 on more than one occasion. Fortunately, enemies don't have huge health pools, and because you have direct control over your weapons and positioning, it rarely becomes frustrating for long. The level design is also fairly average. You probably won't get lost, but you also shouldn't expect to discover anything especially memorable. The environments do their job, but there aren't many moments that make you stop and think about how cleverly a level was put together. If you're expecting something on the level of Dark Souls, you'll likely be disappointed. Bosses are another area where the game feels functional rather than impressive. They work, they serve their purpose, and that's about it. The weapon crafting system falls into a similar category. I'm always happy to see crafting in games like this, but here it feels a little limited. You can create some weapons, but you can't really make anything weird or creative enough to completely change how you approach the game. The sound design is probably my biggest complaint. The sounds themselves are perfectly fine. Weapons sound like weapons, footsteps sound like footsteps. The problem is that there is very little background music or ambient audio. For large portions of the game, you're mostly listening to your own footsteps and the sound of swords hitting things. It's realistic, but it also gets boring surprisingly quickly. There isn't much of a story either. You get a hub area, a few conversations, and that's pretty much it. The game is clearly focused on combat first and everything else second. Performance can be rough. The optimization is surprisingly poor considering the visual quality. The standalone Quest 3 version struggles more than it probably should. Streaming from a capable PC improves things significantly, but then you're relying on having both a good PC and a good Wi Fi setup. At the end of the day, Grimlord is simply a solid middle of the road game. I had a lot of fun with it personally. In fact, it was the game that finally convinced me to buy a VR headset, and it ended up being my first VR experience. It's a good game, just not an exceptional one. If you already own a headset and enjoy souls-like games or medieval fantasy settings, it's worth giving a chance. Just keep your expectations reasonable.

Peak game. I like the spear and sword combo.
Fun game, takes away my vrc time... but BY THE SWORD AND BY THE SHIELD I SHALL SLAY THE EVIL!!!!!!!!!
pretty horrible physics
fun game, but its really short and the physics are not up to par compared to other games with melee combat, get it on sale
The people who are leaving bad reviews on this game.....they haven't played souls like games. I don't either and I would still recommend this 100%. It's aa rough start but once you figure out the mechanics and you start getting better weapons the game is easy. You have skill tree, Magic, different armor and a ton of weapons. Since this is an Indie game you need to get used to the style and I can honestly say it's worth it. I'm having a ton of fun and going back through lvls to grind or learn mechanics. If you buy make sure you at least hit 5 hours of ACTUAL playtime bc it slaps.
