This game has a shocking depth in such a variety of elements that I feel I've just started to fully wrap my head around after 20 hours. Everything from the sheer variety of workable builds, ranking system, cosmetics and endings give an impression of a huge level of polish. For 10$ (and cheaper with bundles / deals) it is a great package.
Really enjoying the game so far. Coming in with nearly 900 hours in The Bazaar, it’s refreshing to try something new while still feeling right at home. Learning the new synergies has been a super fun and rewarding process.

This is actually one of the best pvp autobattlers out
The art and vibe is really cool, but the gameplay is very disappointing. It's like the Bazaar, but you have even less agency and little satisfaction. Half the time I end up wishing this was just an actual card game instead of an auto battler. It completely misses the satisfaction of a good auto battler and at its core, I think making it cards rather than boards was a huge mistake. It seems lost in its identity. Don't get this game just because you enjoy The Bazaar and see people making the comparison, it's not a guarantee you'll enjoy it. The runs just aren't fun. You can have a perfect run and somehow, it doesn't feel like a win. You can have a losing run and you still won't care because all runs feel the same, even when your build is wildly different. You feel so detached from fights in a way that you don't get with other auto battlers. It feels like you're watching someone else play a card game game rather than seeing a fight unfold based on your decisions before the fight. Again, I think this is where it being cards really fails. The boards in The Bazaar make the fights so much more engaging and despite it being an auto battler, you still have far more agency and feel much more involved. They've copied the path of The Bazaar, but with way less variability and meaningful choices. It just becomes predictable and dull very quickly. After a few hours you begin to see what works, and totally avoid the same repetitive options that simply do not work. Upgrades can be a bit punishing (blister!?), capping traits was a terrible choice, and stickers can be the closest you get to arranging your deck while being incredibly situational. It's hopelessly boring. Balancing is also a mess right now, but I'm sure they'll fix it. The UI choices are so bad that I'm not convinced the devs played their own game. Reviewing your card's stats after a battle is completely unintuitive and weirdly, it's the one thing they DIDN'T copy from The Bazaar and really should've. It's so important in an auto battler to be able to see what's working and what's not, and you shouldn't have to sift through menus and dropdowns to do that; just put the stats on the deck! Sound design is critical for an auto battler and yet the sound design in this game is awful, bordering on irritating. The sound of bubbles popping was a terrible choice for energy. It's so grating and completely drowns everything else out. At the same time, the sounds for most actions/cards is completely lacking. The SFX is absolutely horrendous. Music is great though! Borderless window currently doesn't work at all despite being an option. How can you ship an autobattler of all things without borderless window working?! It's capped to 60fps, which is a minor gripe since this is just a simple deckbuilder, but on high refresh rate monitors the transitions and movements look awful. In 2026 there's no excuse to at least make it an option. Similarly, the font sizes are a mess at higher resolutions. I hate to keep comparing this to The Bazaar since that's backed by a multi-million dollar grift while Grail clearly has well meaning and passionate indie devs, but they invite the comparison with how much inspiration they took. And that's not to say taking inspiration from The Bazaar is bad but... if you're gonna do it, you better do it well. Sadly, they did not.
Unfortunately as someone who loves this style of autobattler I do not think this one is very good. The algorithm for what you get matched against is completely broken, and I fluctuate between winning for free and losing in the minimum possible games because every enemy has a build that should not be possible for where they are in the game. There are rounds I go into thinking "wow they ONLY have a perfect build, thats awesome, no cheating in stuff thats impossible" as if it makes a difference. Because who you are fighting against is so integral to the game it is difficult to really make a review without them fixing it.
Fun game and I would recommend it but I have encountered 3 crashes in only 1.5 hrs of play. I crashed twice in the tutorial, at which point I just skipped the tutorial. I thought things would be good by then but then I crashed once during normal gameplay. Hopefully things get fixed and I can recommend this game.
