Gorogoa is an elegant evolution of the puzzle genre, told through a beautifully hand-drawn story designed and illustrated by Jason Roberts. Winner of Debut Game at the 2018 BAFTA Games Awards, as well as Best Mobile Game and the Innovation Award at the GDC 2018 Choice Awards.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.86/day in the week to Aug 23 → 9.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I think gorogoa was the first puzzle game that I played. Around 2015 I saw a youtube video about this game and played a pirated version and really enjoyed, it also was probbably my first ever interaction with "reality bending" game too, the concept of the puzzles being around changing the space stuck with me, I am really into this type of stuff and this game was my first experience with this niche game genre. The art of this game is phenomenal and now that I am older, the symbolism present in each corner of this game is breath taking. Good game and strongly recommend it.

Really short puzzle game with amazing art. No idea what the story was actually about but the general idea of it makes sense. Puzzles weren't anything crazy but it's pretty satisfying to solve one, and if you end up stumped it's easy enough to just click scenes and drag things around until you realize what the game wants you to do. Entertaining and cool to look at, but unless you like puzzle games or Annapurna I'd wait until this is on sale to pick it up as it's so short.
Gorogoa is pure puzzle poetry. You can feel the developer’s admiration for games like FRAMED—that same love for visual storytelling and panel-based cause-and-effect. But where FRAMED plays with sequential comic panels, Gorogoa goes further: time and space don’t just rearrange—they defragment across four hand-painted tiles, creating a dreamlike tapestry. There’s no linear narrative, no hand-holding. Just you, the art, and a series of hauntingly beautiful revelations. Every solution feels like uncovering a forgotten childhood memory. High artistic value, original clever design, and an experience that lingers long after the final screen. A short gem.
The most creative game that I have played so far. All I can say is that I just hope it could be longer and more to play
gorgeous! you should probably buy this game on sale though, because it's like an hour and a half long. definitely worth playing though.
Has great puzzles. Not too hard, not too easy, but creative. As you can see it has a great artstyle. I feel like the base game itself really respects your time, which is hard to find nowadays. Would recommend to anyone really, a small fun puzzle game that you can finish under an hour. Cons: The story kinda went over my head so if you are looking for the story prepare to be confused. Also the game has really pointless achievements, especially for a game that is not really replayable. So if you are a completionist beware.
Moderate recommendation. The graphic designer is very good, and the way they drive the game is also very imaginative, similar to the puzzle solving style in Monument Valley. The reason for not strongly recommending is that the plot and graphics are too stream of consciousness, and the gameplay is average. After trying too many times without any guidance, it's easy to get stuck. If you can't concentrate on playing this game, you may give up halfway through the game, or you may finally pass it. You can only marvel at the beautiful graphics. Here are some personal interpretations, watch with caution if there are spoilers! (I didn't watch the strategy or plot commentary throughout the entire process, and the weekly viewing time was 2.1 hours... That's right, I was stuck... Chapter 3 was stuck for dozens of minutes) The name of the game roughly refers to the rainbow colored boundary dragon that surges through the city at the beginning of the game. The protagonist had a chance encounter with it and was amazed by its beauty. So I searched through the materials, trying to find a way to summon it. In ancient books, it is recorded that adding five "color" substances to a basin can bring about miracles. As an off-site aid, we players drag squares symbolizing different timelines, stories, and scenes to help the protagonist collect five colored fruits around the world. And we can glimpse the situation of this world from the pictures - medieval style architecture; People's exploration of astronomy and the starry sky; Various religious styles of architecture and books, and most importantly, mysticism. I will refer to the supernatural objective forces present in the story as mystery. After unremitting efforts, the protagonist finally collected all the five colored fruits. Colors gather together, and the rosy glow suddenly appears in the world. Just when I thought the game was over, the pot suddenly cracked open, plunging the world into darkness, and the protagonist was also hit hard, sinking in pain The collected fruits also turned into a hollow and pitch black In the blink of an eye, the protagonist has also reached old age. At this moment, we explore in the darkness, wander through history, and witness the stories of our ancestors Finally, we have regained all the colors. The giant dragon appeared and swept over the city. Under it, humans appear so insignificant. The ruins of war and the dynastic changes in history seem to be just small cutscenes. In the midst of a dazzling array of flowers, the game came to an end. In my understanding, these five colors must represent several important components of life (specifically what they represent, I haven't refined them yet). After collecting everything in Chapter 5, it failed, possibly because what was in the pot was only "material" and lacked "thought". What we collected later seems to correspond to the ideological color of our predecessors. The collapse of some buildings implies the existence of war in this world, perhaps the author still wants to oppose war? What is the use of dragons I thought summoning a dragon to fulfill my wish, but it seems like it's just a call to take a look The protagonist's persistence and perseverance are worth learning from. Or, to put it another way, I already have it and want to continue deepening it. Perhaps there is also admiration for the scientific research conducted by ancient people. Hey, we still need to consider the author's ideas when making this game, so that we can analyze more about their life experiences. But I've been too busy lately. If you want to learn more after playing, look for plot commentary videos and analysis videos. Reading comprehension is not my strong suit, Meow. A little roast: Damn, why is there no mystery in the real world But if there are, I may not necessarily have the qualifications. Without guidance, it's too discouraging People who are both patient and have a good temper need to have high intelligence in order to play smoothly After all, this type of game originally has a short storyline and gameplay, and looking at the strategy will make it even more discouraging. However, someone like me, who is not very smart, can still barely pass the level by procrastinating a little. I believe everyone has no problem. If you don't plan to delve deeper into the plot Actually, we can wait for a discount. The original price is a bit expensive! Looking at the release date, it's actually a 17 year old game with a 12 year beta version. This quality is already quite good. Just looking at the innovative graphics of the game is worth the original price.
