I 100%'d this game. I got the top score globally. And i absolutely do not recommend this game. There are 3 enemy types. I get that simplicity is good but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell dude, it gets boring shooting the same 3 things over and over. The only 3 guns you'll ever need are the hyperblaster to shoot around corners, the railgun for up-close, and the rocket launcher for absolutely everything else. The shotgun is useless after you get the railgun and the sledgehammer is actually detrimental to use, and the devastator, while insanely powerful, only really sees use as a panic button and against the final boss. The bosses are trash. The mega chomper's fight is more a fight against the enemy horde and idiot pathfinding of the thing. You need to clear the enemies or the big guy will never get to the crusher. The Nova boss is literally "JUMP OVER ENEMY ATTACK. SPAM SHOTS AT IT. MAYBE MOVE EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE." The mouse movement is actually broken if your FPS isn't super stable??? If your FPS fluctuates even a tiny bit then it becomes super hard to aim as the sensitivity seems to go all over the place. The visuals are bad and repetitive. "Bro it's pixelated voxel simple cool" I get that!!!! BUT IT GETS TIRING SEEING THE SAME WALL/FLOOR/CEILING TEXTURE FOR EVERY LEVEL. I WANT VARIETY DAMMIT. The music is out-of-place. It's either way too high energy or way too sci-fi sounding. This game is neither high energy or sci-fi. This game is not a movement shooter. Sure you need to move around a lot while shooting, but as long as you're spamming jump and holding a movement key nothing can ever really hit you. You just jump above every single enemy and either stomp them or nuke them with the rocket launcher. The movement is so boring and repetitive when compared to... literally every other movement shooter. This game is short. This game is over too fast. This game doesn't have enough levels. This game is stupid. I have absolutely no idea why i spent as much time in it as i did. I didn't even get the achievements legit, i made backup saves to undo my deaths in permadeath blackout masochist mode. But that's the thing. I don't think ANYONE has ever gotten those achievements legit. They either use steam achievement manager, or cheat engine their way to victory. The reason? THIS GAME ISN'T WORTH ACTUALLY TRYING TO 100%. I'm not sorry for cheating my way to 100% achievements. I'm not sorry for using backup saves to undo deaths while i grinded for the highest score on the permadeath modes. Because this game simply wasn't worth the REAL time investment of doing it all legit.

found the online version and really like the full. big W
Gorescript is such an amazing game. I wouldn't compare to doom as much as I would compare it to quake. Fast and intense gameplay with fun enemies and fun arenas. It is 100% worth your money. It also comes with a level editor which took a couple hours to understand but it is very fun to use. The soundtrack and sounds are great. One of my top games. Buy it. If you don't have the money or still don't want it then get the demo and see for yourself how fun the game is.
Doesn't work on steam deck, simply crashes every single time i try and load it. Reinstalled multiple times, tried different difficulties and save slots, nothing helps
Great game.
Great game. It's like doom
good game buy it
Block pixel old school DooM-style shooter. I thought it looked too simple, but when I'm playing I'm instantly lost in the moment. Level design is solid and creative. Super fun game. Cool music. I'm glad I picked it up on sale but it would be pretty good for 10 bucks. Covering the environment in pixel corpses and big blood splatters is very satisfying.
