About
Lead the people of the Tribe of the Dawn as they venture deep into forbidden lands. Complete quests that shape their personalities, impact their wellbeing, and decide the fate of their community. Ensure the survival of your populace in a grim fantasy world inspired by Slavic folklore.
Erect palisades, develop structures, and grow your gord from a humble settlement to a formidable fortress. However, expansion won’t be easy! Your population is constantly at risk from enemy tribes, gruesome monsters, and mysterious powers that lurk in the surrounding woods.

The versatile quests in Gord will have you venturing beyond the walls of your settlement, either to prevent calamity from happening or to address a personal matter of one of your subjects. The Scenario’s main objectives will guide your journey, while side quests and random encounters will dispatch you into the wilderness to hunt down legendary creatures, uncover secrets of the Ancients, or vanquish a nasty scourge. Expect the unexpected.

Set the stage by choosing from a wide range of Scenario options, and try to emerge victorious. Take it easy or set an impossible challenge; almost anything can be adjusted! Choose from a variety of primary objectives, select the level size, the intensity of raids, the environment you’ll play in, the types of enemies you’ll face, starting resources, and even the severity of weather. Of course, don’t forget the Horrors.

A healthy populace is the key to survival in Gord. Every aspect of your settlers’ lives - from illness, to hunger, to the death of their kin - can impact each subject’s Sanity levels. Keep a close eye on them, as once a subjects sanity reaches a critical point, they will suffer a breakdown or even flee your rule.

Please the Gods with your prayers and they may give you access to their spellcasting abilities. Incantations vary in nature - some are offensive while others are defensive - but they all help to tip the battlefield in your favor. Conceal areas from your enemies, gain control over threatening beasts, or turn an unholy rage against all who dare to oppose you.

The Chronicle explains the history of the Gord universe that blends real-world Slavic mythology with dark fantasy. Pages torn from The Chronicle will be scattered throughout the game’s landscapes, giving dedicated players an additional challenge of discovery. Collecting as many pages as possible will provide insight into the origins of the Gods, ancient factions, and the mystical Whisperers.

On sale it's a good deal. It's a fun game that focuses more on managing your little Gord (Basically an outpost in size) and appealing to a Diety while exploring the world. Art direction is great for the dieties. My complaint is below but it doesn't take away from the fun I did have. It lacks any mods and it lacks much of anything in terms of endless play mode. You are very limited on size and the UI leaves much to be desired when it comes to organizing people / your troops. This is not like Kenshi / Rimworld / Going Medieval etc. nor is there a real connection with the character in custom scenario at least. I think it's a-lot of fun for around $20 CAD but it's own limitations to sort of force a play style on you definitly hurts it's long term value for me. Really just needs more freedom in the scenario based around simply living as long as possible. The Gord is small and outposts are extremely small considering how large the maps can be and the building variety is very limited. Other scenarios are much better as all you are doing is aiming for a set objective.
Sometimes I do not know why some game are so bombed by bad review. I was spectical about the critics so I tryed it by myself. Result: Nice Story, good gameplay, intresting encounters. I was not forced to do certain things (like sacrafice a child ) you just need to think around (or build enough warriors ) lol

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Interesting game, it has lots of different styles in it. I liked that you can manage economy, cast spells and fight. Wasn't sure if I want to buy since reviews are mixed, but I glad that I did. Some people just didn't understand that spells are very powerful and help in the combat and not only a lot, story is very rich and interesting, combat might be just one click to fight but this is only on the easiest difficulty - try to fight poison monsters or AOW damage monsters when all are grouped together and will fail miserably :)
Buggy is an unerstatement. Challenges become unfinishable after game restarts or save loads, resources vanish. Lack of resource gathering control makes your people lose sanity before they reach base or constantly run into the same pack of snakes.
I really like this game and it has a lot of potential but i'm pretty sad that the developers left this game on its fate. Still a good game tho The setting dark fantasy and lore are so cool and interesting. It misses few mechanics to make it more enjoyable but, still, i had much fun
Good concept, but boring implementation
I gave up after 4th mission, way too many game breaking bugs for me (like characters getting stuck, crashes, even the game didn't save once). The idea for the setting is nice but would need a lot of polishing to be fun to play again.
2-3 hours into game, you have to sacrifice a child to a demon, I will not do that. Interface is confusing. RTS resource management not my thing. If you can accept all above issues, game is OK. Build stuff, look after NPCs (except 1 child).
The game is quite interesting in my opinion. First of all, the setting of the game with its peoples and legends used in the game attracts. The gameplay itself and the game mechanics are also quite unusually implemented. I liked playing something unusual.
