Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Ghost on the Shore is a story exploration game about emotional ties that transcend even death.
You play as Riley, a young woman who finds herself stranded on a desolate island with a headstrong ghost, dead for as long as he can remember.
As you explore the crumbling homes of the vanished islanders and discover their belongings, you get to know the ghost Josh. As you make irrevocable choices in dialogue you shape the bond with him, which ultimately influences the outcome of the game.
As Riley puts it all together, she comes to understand how an island's history has led to Josh' death.
You explore the beautiful scenery of The Rogue Islands on foot. As you do, you talk to Josh about the history of the islands, his memories, his feelings, but also about Riley’s dreams and goals, and why she’s running from her old life.
As a team, you and Josh discover the old islanders’ belongings and uncover the stories behind them. Which creates a specific sense of what life was like on these islands before people started leaving.
A unique feature that allows the player to make choices in a subtle immersive way. You don't always know how your words will affect the other. Words are powerful tools. Just like in real life, things can become fun, exciting or plain awkward.
Every dialogue option is shown only once, which makes your choices definite.
The relationship you choose to build with the ghost defines the narrative branch you get to explore. There are four branches with a different ending for each.

It's a cool walking simulator type of game. The narrative is quite compelling and the pacing is good. However, the saving system is a bit odd and it sucks for achievement hunting, so I didn't even bothered.

This game is a cinematic masterpiece. There can be a few bugs, and there aren’t puzzles as such, but it is NEVER boring and it was so intriguing to learn about the world in the game. The voice acting is top tier, and the scenery is breathtaking. If you love story games, some good mysteries, or love to immerse yourself in characters, this is the perfect game for you. I even created a diagram in my notebook to keep track of the characters 😂
Dobry walking sim. Trochę mnie dziwi obecne 82% na Steamie. Historia jest jak najbardziej ok, podobnie jak gameplay. Na plus znakomity voice acting!
I LOVE IT The graphics and mechanics are nothing special but the story??? Holy moly, just breathtaking! The game tells a hauntingly beautiful and tragic story. It tells said story in a way, I felt through almost every emotion possible sometimes even at once. I saw from the achievements that I haven't even found all letters and audio notes yet and even have some more Endings to discover! I'm not sure if I''m really able to play this game any other way after the endig I got but maybe I'll try in the future. So, even if you know the plot there seems to be replay value and I'm absolutely here for it!
The story is amazingly emotional and the artwork is beautiful.
If you want more Firewatch or Dear Esther in your life, this game is for you. This lesser-known walking simulator is on par with the best in my opinion, but doesn't break much new ground. It's comfort food where fans of the genre will know exactly what to expect. The story kept me interested, but was marred by repetitive dialog and predictable moments. What really makes this game worth playing is the expansive, beautiful, peaceful environment.
Good little walking sim story, though if you're a fan of the mystery genre, don't expect any surprises (or maybe I've just seen too many true crime documentaries...) If you're an achievement hunter, the lack of an ability to make manual saves will annoy you until you realize you can easily make backups of the automatically saved data file, in which case, THEN you can restore it to try the various endings. Spoiler alert:
the "romantic" ending is not at ALL romantic, it's creepy AF. Yikes.
There's really only one "good" ending: by sheer luck or maybe just being good with my words, it's the ending I got the first time around.
This was the most beautiful game. I played it in the evenings before bed, just to relax. I don't know if 'walking sim' is a bad word, but it is genuinely exactly what I want in a relaxing game. I get to exerience a story and I am not overwhelmed with decision-making or difficult puzzles. Don't get me wrong, this story goes pretty deep, and it even had one or two creepy moments (the word 'ghost' is in the title, after all). I fully recommend it if the vibes you want are relaxing and cozy, you want pretty environments to look and a gripping story.
