Gettysburg: The Tide Turns is a hex-based wargame set in one of the most decisive and iconic battles of the Civil War. 150 years ago, brave soldiers fought across this idyllic battlefield, and, now, we put you in their shoes.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Unfortunately, though this seems like a good entry-level game with a lot of potential, the freezing bugs that constantly plague even the current patch of the game make this a pass. I've yet to get through the 33 turn campaign because it just freezes. Multiplayer PBEM suffers the same problem, usually at turn 11. Too bad because the game play is a good starter wargame otherwise.
It's a hex-and-counter wargame. I like hex and counter wargames but this is so simplistic and unrealistic as regards actual battlefield operations in the civil war as to be purely bizarre. It has value as an abstract strategy game, i suppose, but not even too much at that. There are wonderful paper map hex-and-counter Gettysburg games that add interesting mechanics, decisions that reflect actual operational and tactical considerations of the time, any of which is actually available more or less free using the freeware program VASSAL and downloading the appropriate module. This game is simply uninteresting and overly simplistic. Boring.

I love the concept of this game with the graphics, the maps and most of the mechanics that allows you to have a great level of play at the command level. Even like the animation of the troops. I applaud the creators for what they are trying to create. But after playing, I seriously cannot recommend this game and its AI in its current form. My Union force was arrayed similar to historical battle on the ridges and 5 batteries of Confederate artillery positioned themselves one hex away from the Union line without any infantry near where Picket charged. These units blasted away the Union line and when I brought up the infantry reserves to attack them these units were blasted to oblivion. In what real scenario of the Civil War could artillery alone move up close to an infantry line and stay there without support and impervious to infantry attacks.
Recomendado solo para jugar online! La IA es muy mala (como todas). Contra otros humanos es un wargame sencillo con un mapa impresionante.
Fun game spoilt by bugs, Game just froze on turn 28! Like reading the proverbial whodunnit only to find the last page is missing... Very disappointing.
I would rather give this a neutral rating, rather than a thumbs up for the following reasons: it is a good game, but it continually crashes.
well it seems i keep coming back to this one, every time i need a civil war fix, after a film watched, a game needs playing, and for me this one for the period is as good as any for ease of use and enjoyment
different movement system based on chit for each corps, so they are intertwined in a turn
Innovative game on a famous battle. Easy to learn and play, but it takes effort to play well.
Wargame muy cuidado y bellísimo. Además del placer estético al mirarlo la mecánica es excelente. Será que soy raro, ojala mas juegos como este. Si te apetece una partida a riesgo de que te hagan un taro, me añades como amigo y jugamos....
