About
Venture aboard humanity’s first and final generation ship, a desperate expedition teetering on the rim of collapse. You are the Caretaker- you must make the most of finite supplies and rally the remaining survivors to restore a sustainable society. Adapt to the strange ecological entity propagating on board, or succumb to ruin. It’s going to be a long journey, but no two journeys will be the same…

Plan your settlement wisely- Build detailed production chains to meet your society’s needs and sustain its development. Thoughtful structure layouts will maximize range-based resource distribution.
Upgrade production- Upgrade existing structures over time to improve efficiency, and repurpose resources as your settlement evolves. Progression brings discovery and new technologies to enhance your existing structures.
Restore the ship’s ecosystems- The ship was supposed to be an ark for numerous ecosystems from Earth, but the mistakes of the past have left them all near ruin. Develop systems for a circular society, rejecting excessive extraction and unsustainable growth.

Decisions and consequences- You’ll face choices at all stages of your journey, from designating individual task crews to settlement-wide rationing verdicts. Narrative events provide focused interactions with the characters, set in detailed vignettes of the ship’s environment. Decisions you make will directly impact structures, crew, and wellbeing within the ship- and ultimately determine the key challenges of your mission.
Dynamic cast of characters- Characters age, form families, and retain memories of events they witness under your leadership. Meet your comrades aboard the ship and follow their stories, spanning generations across hundreds of years.
Your unique story- The ship’s characters are procedurally generated at the start of every playthrough, resulting in a unique cast of NPCs. Crewmates’ distinct skills, abilities, and personality traits yield new narratives and strategies every game.

Build a sustainable society and revive the generation ship’s fragile ecosystems, using only what was brought with you to sustain the search for a new home. Your situation may be isolating, the crew unruly, challenges uncertain… but as Caretaker, you are Humanity’s last hope. How will your journey end?

It's a pretty nice builder with a bit of a story and campaign. Definitely different from the majority of builders; trying to be a bit of a RPG and puzzle builder; certainly something a bit different than usual. Absolutely recommend it; there are a number of issues - interface is a bit different from most builders and may be a bit cryptic; it was fun for me to decifer it, but some people had problems and asked help on forums. There are also some bugs.
I heard about this game when one of the developers went on the Virtual Economy Podcast (to talk about it not being financially successful). The elevator pitch for the game sounded interesting and I wanted to try it out. I like it. I have made it to the second biome and look forward to playing more of the game. Pros: - Each biome (effectively each level of the campaign) unlocks different buildings, gameplay, and objectives. - I like how crisis and favor points accumulate directly based on your worker placement decisions. Properly train and match your workers (stewards) to tasks and you can directly effect how quickly crisis and favor events happen. The UI also shows how many crisis or favor points have you, so you can roughly know when these events will trigger. It makes it feel like you have more agency over the random narrative events (which are pretty similar to random events in Crusader Kings but with a sci-fi spin). - The core gameplay is a turn-based logistics and construction loop. I like the turn-based spin on this genre because it completely removes the time pressure element like in an RTS game or The Settlers. Cons: - I don't like the color scheme. I understand it's supposed to be dreary but it gives too much of a negative impression.

a lot of bugs. It's for sure still early access -21:9 support breaks wnen the second biom has opened (black squares on sides, but in building mode they disappear -the name of previus bulding gets stuck on the "chain menu" -for habitats icons showing requirements fail: they say that you don't have water but you have, there are no issues for factories I'll quit playing for now
Did not like character customization, to the point I could not bring myself to care about what's next. It would be better without it.
I really enjoyed the campaign for this game. Have yet to start on Planetfall mode. Coming from other more stressful 4X games like Endless Legend or Endless Space, this one felt so much more relaxing.
Great art and choices of self definition. The prompts were clear enough even for me as a first time game player to keep moving forward. An hour did not get me too far. From the broadcast I should be able to build a lot more. Look forward to play more and get further! I only saw it as I subscribed to the waitlist email. They need to get the words out for more people to see, at least post in all their social media accounts!

While this game has its highlights, it also has its low points. Exploring the story of the spaceship and creating a civilization is nice. This game plays like Civ 6, with district management as well as resource management. If you have any prior experience with turn based survival, this game will be quite easy. However, even though this is a positive review, I would honestly give this game a 'Meh'. It doesn't really offer anything new in the genre and the game can be quite frusterating in certain parts. It got pretty buggy at the end, with building dissapearing, resources not counting and other problems. However, none of the bugs prevented me from beating the game, just made it take longer in the end. Overall, a decent game, support small devs.
this game is very good. If you familiar with civilization, this game a bit similiar with that. The color very warm and beautiful, the story is light but it's good, every your decision or your choice will be impact to the flow story and gameplay. afterall this is very good game and well made.
