I like this game.
If you enjoy tabletop games like ascencion or marvel legendary, this is a cute little standalone game, it has its flaws like menus or do not get a greater notice when a boss appears, but, the game structure is way solid enough, plus, it has a budget price, i'd say that if you want a card game, specially not a roguelike deckbuilder, give it a shot.
Deck building is fun but why trying to unlocking new card feel like such a chore in this game.
A new entry in the roguelite deckbuilder genre, with much to tell
This game clearly takes inspiration from Dominion, and it's a good thing! More videogames should be inspired by great classics of tabletop gaming. It's clean, it's addictive, it has a LOT of build variety and unlockable cardsa, and five levels of difficulty. Easy to learn, hard to master. Being able to move cards around in your hand, manipulate the shop line-up, thin your deck.. All make this a blend of new and old, with interesting mechanics you probably have not seen around. The dev already has a lot of content update planned, so get it while it's cheap!
This game is actually really fun and totally worth the 5 bucks. Although I have beaten the hardest difficulty like 5 times or so and I've still never lost a game, so it is a little easy. My real complaint isn't necessarily the difficulty though, it's just the game balance. I keep starting new games wanting to try a cool new strategy, but I always just end up with the same deck, which is basically just ~10-12 really strong Red cards (with a couple of Blues sprinkled in). The Red cards are just too good, and Green frankly just sucks, as much as I want to like it. I think the problem is that killing monsters is just kind of a necessity and has really good rewards, and Red is just way too fing good at killing monsters. Maybe if Green/Blue allowed you to play a more shop-heavy pacifist playstyle, focusing on things like mulligans/familiars/earning gems for buying stuff, things like that, then they'd be more viable and fun to play. Like for example, I think the Red card that just gives you a free kill without paying the cost would actually make much more sense as a Green card, or maybe have a familiar that lets you trade power for a mulligan, or maybe have really strong Greens/Blues that actually give you negative power in exchange for strong shopping effects (perhaps something that could actually help me hit that 30-card deck requirement, because I've never done that). Just some suggestions, but overall like I said I had some good fun playing this and will be pretty excited for future updates if we get to see some more.
Instantly bought when I saw it. Awesome deck-builder. Having a blast. The artwork on the cards is cool. Gameplay is fun. Learning curve is pretty smooth. It seems like there's a good deal of content, and from what I've seen so far it's re-playable enough that it would have been worth the full price.
Art style super cool, but the gameplay seems to be pretty bland/uninteresting sadly :/ The difficulty is easy, losing feels impossible. Therefore most of the fun is actually in making your deck/turns as optimal as possible however, for some reason the hand size limit decides to be the feature that actually actively becomes anti-fun since you can't go infinite with draws. Normally this would be fine if the game is actually challenging, but when the ONLY fun thing about your game is big numbers and busted decks, why not let all hell loose? Also can play through the entire content of *5 difficulties* within a 2-hour span so it's actually insanely easy to refund as well. Which might be what I'd recommend since I don't think it has the necessary amount of replayability. Maybe if decks could be customized or hand sizes could go infinite, I'd recommend. But to cost €7,99 in its current state? Feels more like some sorta demo/early access tbh
Super fun. Very similar to ascension, but with enough character that it feels like its own game. Honestly, it's got a lot of replay value and is a steal for < $10. It's got decent enough depth that you feel like you can learn and experiment, but not so much that it feels all that taxing. Good blend of casual and competitive. Highly recommend.
I'll play just about anything at the price point of $5 and I think this offers more than enough of a time sink. It's far from perfect- Merge is a just awful mechanic when there is no way for a new player to learn or strategize around it and the card pool isn't large enough to justify the number of identical effects across colors- but what's there is solid and justifies the cost. A reasonable impulse purchase to while away a couple of afternoons.
