Definitely would recommend this game. Enjoyable game, with good devs that respond to bugs and fix them.
As a tester I must say, the game really has come far. First of all, thank you, Indiebuild. Devs put their hearts into the game. Just to lay out the basics, Gamble Tower (GT) is a roguelike deckbuilder. It is possible to play with 3 different classes, while using mainly up to 2 of them when doing a run in the Tower. I say "mainly" 'cause it is still possible to access the entire variety of Orbs (cards from the deck) even while focusing on one specific class, for instance, Human Class. Orbs are used to attack, apply effects, summon creatures, etc. Artifacts and skills boost your character's and pet's status. You MUST gamble to advance, that generally means meeting some criteria during battles. Each gamble has it's own reward, thus each run is unique. I won't spoil more than that ;) Soundtrack and visuals are simply beatiful. Enemies are well designed and balanced. Had so much fun testing so many different builds, up to the point where I got extremely OP in runs and couldn't figure out why! haha. And there's still a lot to try out, there's a lot of freedom. The game can be hard and unforgiving sometimes. If you're looking for a challenge, this is definitely for you, go for Tower Dangers as soon as they're available. If not, still absolutely worth checking out, you will surely find a way to go through the Tower's floors! What can I say, just play it already!! P.S.: there are many dev logs available and I love Ian's sense of humor, also definitely worth checking. Just join the Discord and you'll have access to them, or search for Indiebuild's channel on YouTube.

This is a fun, gambling-themed game. It's a rogue-like card game, with meta progress and strategy that extends beyond the current battle. You gamble between every battle, it's required even, and your luck will sway your determination in whether to persevere to reach the expedition end, or whether you should retire early and keep your winnings. The personas you send into each expedition have skill trees, innate bonuses and experience perma-death if you fail so you have to be smart in those decisions. There are helpful tool tips explaining game terms, the gambles have felt balanced, and it's been enjoyable figuring out the systems and how they interact.
Very cool deckbuilder, the characters design is awesome and the music/ voice acting is amazing. Gameplay feels challenging bur fair and the gamble factor spices up everything.
I've played about 15 hours and I'd say this ones pretty alright and worth your time! Do go buy it! But, rather than rehashing the displayed game mechanics, let me talk about my personal experience with it. So it has a quite competent amount of progression, although I have only played 15 hours I feel as though I've seen all the challenge aside from maxed gambit difficulty so I actually wonder if there's more to encounter and... I have sort of fallen into a bit of a success trap. I have a winning streak on quite a high difficulty because the power of a certain not-even-optimal combination of characters running a summon deck which is generally quite OP as summons are both damage boosts and effectively block cards as there ARE no block cards, and summons are HP sponges for non-aoe/pierce attacks. Summons dont generally attack first which can make them poor damage output except... I've sidestepped that with my character combination + its easy to artifact stack yourself into 'attacks first' buffs + 'attacks more times' buff artifacts. It makes playing normal attacks pathetic by comparison, I'm not even sure why I'd want to bother when summons blast so hard. And thats my problem, I'm *too* successful right now and as this game has gambling in the form of 'if a character dies you lose their upgrade tree resources too', I've become risk averse. Its funny because risk management is the theme of this game -- How much are you willing to take on for benefit? And I've gotten pretty good at it overall, I've got a lot of the upgrades, so existing high levels of risk are VERY solidly managed. That's human nature, except I feel like on some level I wonder if the devs wanted me to feel bold and go in to the 'spirit' of the game and yolo on some objectively poor decision making in the game, feeling the thrill of hitting it big and losing it all... but playing a lot of RLs or strategy tells you, you don't do that. You take acceptable risk to gain power. So the smartest thing to do is farm excessive resources on the safe successful character who can win every time, and then use those resources on untested characters or strategies somewhat modestly until I find another successful one... if I'd want to? I don't know what the dev intended of course so maybe I AM playing as intended in the risk management sense, but... I'm not sure why I'd play the others except for specific unlocks and achievements, a feeling RARELY evoked in this genre of game! And that's notable, usually I want to play around with all the characters but in this one the risk management is making me *feel* averse to that! And that occurs in this game only, none of the DBRLs before or after suffered the same. Maybe I need more time with this game and the other characters are more viable than they seem? Maybe 15hrs isnt enough to have seen what feels like mostly-full-content missing decent numbers of unlocks (for classes I dont play, or upgrade crystal options for shops). Hard to say. But I did enjoy my time and should probably come back for more. The aesthetic is pretty enjoyable, really no rougher than slay the spire and it has a good amount of its own charm especially in the little voice acted monster noise and shopkeeper clips. Love those! They work really well! The soundtrack is also charming. Game performs great with few bugs, although NOTABLY restarting a turn or battle by quitting to menu mid-fight will mess up start-of-turn effects for the first turn that should apply but fail to.
