Well GalCiv IV certainly do have many improvements when compared with GalCiv III... BUT ! there are other things I dont like and will never understand , 1.- Why only Flag ships can do survey? it is quite stupid and against any logic. If a specie is trying to learn about the universe it will certainly have many ships exploring and surveying the space and its anomalies. 2.- The Tech tree is poor, and its interactions with Ideology are no fun at all. 3.- The limitations for getting leaders is astonishing... The process is slow and against any logic. It should have more in common with total pop than with the way it works now. 4.- The limitations to trade is crazy... no matter how many trading centers or building you bill in all of your planets the number is always limited to 11... so it is bugged. 5.- I really hate the new sectors, it is not fun and lacks any logic... in that particular area GalCiv III was a lot better. 6.- I wonder why so few projects or events... now it is way too basic and lacks the fun of the previous game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very good, but in the next gal civ let us terraform whole planets, terra to ocean and so on and let us customize our homesystem without the need to generate a whole new galaxy please.
Just Plain Fun
Muy buen juego 4x!
Fun, great role-playing, and supported mechanics.
I've played the series since GC2 and I was pleasantly surprised by the changes they made to the game. While the core remains the same, they have made the races more distinct, added more leaders, and made it easier to play tall by choosing whether to core a planet or make it a colony.

good game
Great game with a steep learning curve. Worst thing is tips from hovering the mouse tend not to tell you what is needed at times. However, many good sites with the information needed.
