About
Welcome to Funnel Runners, where you will have your first on-site deployment with APEX Storm Monitoring Services.
A high-priority F5 tornado is approaching, and we are counting on you (and up to 7 fellow friends) to collect data, scavenge necessary information, and, of course, survive.

The weather is your worst enemy here. Tornados and storms will spawn randomly, grow stronger over time, and tear the whole map apart. Buildings will collapse piece by piece, and items will no longer be found in destroyed areas, so you must adapt quickly. Be careful not to be swept up by the wind; you may not be found again.

In this mission, you can team up with 7 other players or tackle it solo. Share gadgets, split up to cover more ground, collect necessary information and items to fix the van before the situation turns bad.
With realistic graphics and a first-person perspective, the experience brings you close to every gust of wind, distant siren, and falling piece of debris.

Scavenge the collapsing city for scattered vehicle parts, fuel, and tools. These items will allow you to repair your van and help you survive the storm. Each playthrough features randomized environments, weather, items, and problems to solve on your vehicle. No playthrough will be the same.

Not a good entry into the "friend slop" genre. Funnel Runners takes from other "friend slop" games and does it worse. For example, the main objective "fix the car", they couldn't even be bothered to put unique mechanics for each part. Instead they just re-use the same quick time event similar to what you'll find in Dead By Daylight but with a ridiculous input delay. Before adding more parts to repair on the van please consider other mechanics besides "Press E in a QTE" Wouldn't it make more sense to do storm monitoring activities since we're supposedly a "Storm Monitoring Service" not a "Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Service". Like have us deploy a tornado scanner to gather data, have us drive the van around to avoid damage but keep a certain distance to the scanner to maintain upload speed. Or like since there's acid rain we can set up and drive the van around to collect rain, maintain a minimum speed, avoid obstacles/damage. Just a couple of ideas you could design a game around. What professional storm monitoring service goes out on a job unprepared? Is it too much to ask for a crowbar? There's so much wasted space in that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ van, that could have been used to store equipment. Even rookie ghost hunters in Phasmophobia have more equipment besides just a flashlight. But what's the point in having equipment since you can't even use your radio in one hand and a flashlight in the other. "Extra Objectives" feel like optional challenges, but they're not, you get punished for not completing them. You lose some of your base payout from fixing the car if you do not complete these "extra" tasks. There's not a lot about Funnel Runners that I like but I do like the weather effects and the literal hostile environment. The weather damage and destruction is pretty cool. But sometimes these tornadoes and lightning feel a bit too sentient. I also like that I can play with more than three people since I got a big group of friends. I cannot recommend Funnel Runners to any one right now in its current state. This "game" feels more like a vertical slice to show off a concept rather than a serviceable early access product. I am very thankful that I received this game for free.

Fundamentally flawed, regardless of its Early Access disclaimer. What I wanted: A game where you and your friends are driving a vehicle, chasing or running from various storms or tornadoes. Someone would be driving, someone would be giving directions, someone on the roof trying to analyze the storm, etc. Maybe you have to occasionally stop in towns for certain parts or upgrades (at great risk). What the game actually is: Dead by daylight, with tornadoes replacing the killers. You spawn into a town, immediately split up from your friends, struggle to talk to them over the walkie-talkie (the sound is drowned out by the 3 mini tornadoes 100 feet away from you), and come together for five seconds once you complete the repairs. Even Phasmaphobia encourages more group work than this game. If thats the experience you want its fine. But its not what I was hoping for.
This game is LEGENDARY. Absolutely LEGENDARY. It deserves an insta buy. I really wish they add a continuation after you repair the vehicle, this game has incredible potential.
AMAZING game so far, I haven't run into any bugs so far, love the atmosphere, my only thing I suggest for other updates is making tornados just a TAD bit bigger. I like how they are so far, I just wish they were a bit bigger for stronger tornados. but so far amazing game. (and make it so in single player we can drop the walkie talkie)
VERY GOOD GAME
Игра нормальная, русский язык бы добавить
I was expecting it to be a cheap friend slop game, however they actually cooked with this. The environment is terrifying.
Incredible experience so far. Fix the random crashes and this game will be huge.
Hahaha this game is fun with friends. We really have a good time!!! The game is hard even in normal. You need to remember your truck's coordinates before you strut and explore. The game has a similarity objective in Phasmophobia.
