The Western Ocean! Freddi Fish and Luther are a great dynamic duo that benefit the story greatly. Animations, Artstyle, Gameplay all are very well done while having a detective style story which is myterious at first and requires a little brain work to solve that keeps it interesting and engaging. More puzzles that were fun to solve, more items to collect, more things to interact with and more fantastic cutscenes. It's an outstanding game that improves on Freddi 1 - 3 . Soundtrack being western themed was catchy and nice to listen to. Seeing both characters eventually wear a cowboy hat is all you need and a very stylish conclusion.
As a child i loved this edition. Takes me back to my childhood, i love it <3

Хороший приквел к Red Dead Redemption 3
Freddi Fish 4: The Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch is a delightful point-and-click adventure that continues the long-running educational series with a memorable underwater take on the Wild West. Developed by Humongous Entertainment and published by Humongous Entertainment and Night Dive Studios, the game follows Freddi Fish and her dependable friend Luther as they travel to Briny Gulch after Cousin Calico's prized hogfish mysteriously disappear. The story immediately establishes a fun detective premise that is easy for younger players to follow while remaining engaging enough to entertain adults revisiting the series through nostalgia. The game's strongest quality is how naturally it combines storytelling with exploration. Briny Gulch is filled with personality, transforming classic western themes into an imaginative underwater setting populated by colorful sea creatures. Every location features interactive objects, humorous animations, and entertaining conversations that reward players for clicking on nearly everything they encounter. The lively environments create a sense of discovery that encourages curiosity rather than rushing through objectives, making the adventure feel rich despite its relatively small scope. The mystery itself is structured around collecting clues, solving light puzzles, and speaking with the town's residents to uncover the identity of the hogfish rustlers. Rather than relying on difficult challenges, the game focuses on observation and logical thinking. Each puzzle fits naturally into the investigation, requiring players to gather items, interpret clues, and figure out simple solutions that gradually move the story forward. This design keeps frustration to a minimum while allowing younger audiences to experience the satisfaction of solving problems independently. One of the most valuable features highlighted by the game is its randomized puzzle system. Key items, puzzle solutions, and certain gameplay elements change from one playthrough to another, meaning each adventure offers slightly different challenges. This clever design significantly improves replay value since players cannot simply memorize every answer. Children are encouraged to think critically each time they play, giving the game a much longer lifespan than many educational adventures of its era. Freddi Fish 4 also succeeds as an educational experience without feeling like a traditional learning program. Problem-solving, memory, careful observation, and logical reasoning are consistently reinforced through gameplay instead of formal lessons. The game teaches players to pay attention to dialogue, inspect their surroundings, and experiment with inventory items to overcome obstacles. These educational elements are seamlessly integrated into the adventure, ensuring that learning remains enjoyable and never overshadows the entertainment. The audiovisual presentation continues to hold up remarkably well thanks to its timeless cartoon art direction. Bright hand-drawn environments, expressive character animations, and cheerful music create a welcoming atmosphere from beginning to end. Voice acting remains one of the series' defining strengths, with energetic performances that give every character a distinct personality and make conversations enjoyable for children. The underwater western theme is especially creative, blending familiar cowboy imagery with marine life in a way that feels playful and imaginative. Accessibility is another major advantage. The simple point-and-click controls make the game approachable for very young players, while the forgiving design removes pressure through the absence of combat, failure states, or strict time limits. Instead, exploration and experimentation are constantly encouraged, allowing children to learn at their own pace. Parents looking for a safe and family-friendly adventure will find an experience that promotes creativity, patience, and confidence. Its age does introduce some limitations. Experienced adventure game fans may find the puzzles relatively easy, and the overall adventure can be completed within a few hours. However, these aspects reflect the intended audience rather than weaknesses in the design. The game's primary goal is to entertain children while gently developing their reasoning skills, and it accomplishes that objective exceptionally well. Freddi Fish 4: The Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch remains one of the stronger entries in the beloved series because of its charming setting, memorable cast, replayable puzzle design, and educational value. Its blend of humor, mystery, and exploration has aged gracefully, making it a worthwhile experience for families, young gamers, and longtime fans of classic point-and-click adventures. While it may not provide the complexity sought by veteran players, it continues to stand as an excellent example of how children's games can successfully balance fun, storytelling, and meaningful learning. Rating: 9/10
Freddi Fish was one of my first ever video games I played as a kid, and I am thrilled that they are now all available on Steam. I'm sharing them with my much younger sister, and she loves them too.
