Land on a planet, pick up some rocks, leave before the solar system explodes. Oh, and don't die in the nightly robot attacks! Freaking Meatbags is a humorous real-time strategy game that's all about building a base, mixing meatbag DNA, then convincing those dolts to help you gather resources.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun little tower defense! There are better tower defense games out there in my opinion this one is skippable.
Enjoying it so far, it's a good mix of TD and RTS with a healthy sprinkle of humor.
Clunky controls and interface, annoying music, and hard-to-read text. Which is a shame, because the game offers creative mechanics, really cool pixel graphics (on the robots at least) and a humorous world to play around in. It also unfortunately does its damnedest to make me not want to play in that world. Honestly, I only got this game because your boss looks like Hal 9000. I expected at least a kinda fun game along with that. Maybe I'm just not into RTS/Tower Defense. I was willing to give it a shot, and the game itself seems decent, but the UI and controls just give me a headache. Not worth it, unless you can look past these flaws.

Super super fun game! I stumbled into it through a random grab bag on Fanatical. Extremely happy I did because it is so much fun! Different level types keep things fresh imo and the mix of how levels work is excellent! It might be a few years old but if you see this and read it - get it! You will not be disappointed!
Fun little tower defender, making use of meatbags (humans) to protect their robot overlord.
I recommend this game due to it being cheap and offering unique idea. Unfortunately the gameplay is kinda messy and my motivation to play wasn't kept for long, but the idea is there and I recommend seeing it. The game has a lot of potential and perhaps sooner or later something damn great might be made out of it. I mean it's not even that the game is bad (other than the aformentioned slight messyness of it). When developing such indie games the dev needs to find the golden middle between everything he tries to offer with his product. If he succeds then the game succeds as well. This game fails to find the middle ground. But it still offerst interesting gameplay ideas and elements. Try it. And, devs, make the second game with general ideas from this one. Perfect your vision. Ever played "Evolva?" Not to confuse it with "Evolve." Check it out. Some similar concepts.
I really enjoyed this, wish there were more too it. It is funny, has good game play with coherent story and its fun tdg rts mix which I hadn't really played before this game. Its a shame because I played it a while back, finished it but uninstalled it and haven’t touched it since. Still worth what the price though despite low replay ability. 9/10
I liked this clever twist on tower defense. You control a robot that's tasked with protecting a crew as you journey to planets and mine for resources. The resources can be used to build defensive structures and towers, and also machines to combine crew DNA and create new crew with traits from the DNA donors. The traits can be combined to create faster miners or turret crews that can boost tower performance. However, many of the other reviews correctly point out the game's various flaws. There are some user interface issues and lots of micromanagement. I don't like too much micromanagement in my tower defense games; a little is ok, but there's a reason tower defense and RTS are different categories. A good tower defense game is pretty chill; Freaking Meatbags can get pretty frantic. Good game, but a better interface and allied AI would have made it even better.
I can't really say that I enjoyed playing this game. There is not really a whole lot here to keep you invested and playing, and eventually the pixel style graphics grated on my nerves. Things are hard to see and understand, especially the font style they used for the text. It looks silly and charming at first, the screen shots looks great, but it really wears on you after a while. The controls are super clunky, the interface is hard to understand and use, and moving around the screen just feels bad. The game moves very quickly, and asks you to do the same, while doing the best it can to make that impossible for you. It just is not a fun combination. The music is just the same short tune on repeat, and also starts to get on your nerves. There are way better tower defence games out there, in all of these different categories. However, this one is cheap on sale, only about a dollar when it is 90% off, so if it looks like it really, really interests you, get it for that. Otherwise, it just isn't worth it.
