I was hunting and then I freaked it
1000000000000000 people must play freakhunter
Shoot the FREAKS! I love the Freak designs, and the music and sound effects are fantastic too. The weapons feel good to use, especially the laser weapon towards the end. It's definitely a fun time and I like the core gameplay a lot, but I do feel like the last world was the weakest one by far. I felt that adding additional resource management in the forms of time and flashlights did not complement what you learn during the rest of the game, where a slower, more deliberate resource hunt is a good way to play. And that hunt was a lot of fun throughout, which saw me through to the end. I would still recommend it to anyone interested but just know that the end of the game does get frustrating.

Short game but engaging. Played it basically in one sitting. I picked it up on sale but at its base price its worth the few hours you'll play. Final area alone is worth the price. Timed challenges where you gotta navigate a dark maze using a limited resource to be able to see sounds like a nightmare but its easily the most compelling part or the game
Charming. I'm at the garden maze episode and difficulty ramps up a bit and it becomes more puzzley. Keeps adding a few mechanics incrementally. It uses tilebased dungeoncrawler movement, where you control the camera by cycling between the cardinal directions and hopping from tile to tile. But within your camera screen as you switch directions and tiles, you can move around a cursor to aim and shoot like a railshooter. This works surprisingly well and starts to feel natural If you like unconventional controls and ancient graphics: i'd give it a try. If you hate getting lost in rather monotonous environments: this is not for you. edit: The last levels can be a lot more trial and error and frustrating, but I like how some push you more to be fast and others to take is slowly or be more puzzle oriented. Fun little experimental game.

great game. If you enjoy crawling through dungeons you'll like it.
Very fun game, very unique cool style and not very frustrating. Has good puzzles and it doesn't take too long to complete them. The game isn't too long, and I like that. I really enjoyed it while I was playing it. I would definitely recommend this game to people who love shooters but also weird creatures and puzzles n stuff. Very epic.
A neat idea that immediately crumbles under its own poor level-design and lack of player expression. At lest the store page is honest that this is a test of patience more than a test of skill.
