An awesome FPS whose art style is as unique as it's control scheme. The movement is grid-based but the aiming is closer to a light-gun arcade game. It's like a strange child between Wizardry and House of the Dead. In general, the game feels great to play! I was especially impressed with the feedback for firing your weapons. While the movement also feels good, it has a lot of input buffering which took some time getting used to. Overall, there's something very satisfying about strafing around the corner to shoot at enemies, then dipping back to ambush them. Something else that surprised me was the inclusion of single-use item powerups. These added some puzzle elements to the levels while also encouraging creative problem solving in combat. My only complaint is that the later levels felt a little too "trial and error" for my liking. Fortunately, the game doesn't overstay it's welcome, and I even came back for a second playthrough to get the last achievement. As a random side note, my wife very much enjoyed watching the visuals as I played.
i like the retro style and the simplicity of the game. its relaxing to play

Playing this with the lights off around dark makes for a great immersive experience.
A short game that still somehow manages to overstay its welcome. Great, well thought out first couple of levels. Unfortunately, the smart level design involving puzzles devolves into unengaging, long labyrinths utilizing annoying gimmicks (darkness, instant-fail timers, breakable walls that don't stand out enough) and the experience ends up feeling more frustrating than enjoyable.
A neat idea that immediately crumbles under its own poor level-design and lack of player expression. At lest the store page is honest that this is a test of patience more than a test of skill.
