About
FOUNDRY is a first-person (first-robot?) factory builder with complete creative freedom set in a procedurally generated and infinite voxel world.
Land on an unexplored planet and design a giant automated robot production facility under the watchful direction of your AI friend, Carl. Navigate the complexities of interstellar trade and sell your products through interplanetary trade networks to reach your final goal: galactic industrial domination.

Progress from manual resource extraction to a fully automated and perfectly optimized factory.
Construct towering machinery and snaking networks of conveyor belts and pipes with no limits on where you build.
Explore a vibrant voxel world and sculpt the landscape block by block.
Research new, more advanced technologies to meet the demands of your ever-growing production lines.
Personalize your creation by unlocking decorative items and new color options.
Maintain a complex power system to keep your factory running at top speed.
Work solo or recruit outside contractors in online or LAN co-op multiplayer.
Create an enormous factory complex stretching from deep underground to the planet’s surface and the skies above.

Create a mechanically magnificent factory and a work of industrial art integrating your creation into the environment around you. Set up your machines far below the surface, high in the sky and everywhere in between. Grid-based construction gives you precise control over where and what you build.
Land on an unexplored planet and explore a procedurally generated sandbox. Journey through dense jungles, gigantic mountain ranges, and great plains stretching into the horizon, with even more to discover beneath the surface.

Design intricate systems of conveyor belts, long-distance transport networks, pipes and elevators from deep underground to automate your research. Unlock more advanced, complex and faster technology to optimize your factory and maximize production.
You’ll start by crafting items and harvesting resources manually but will soon find yourself setting up assembly lines piece by piece to devise a system that flows perfectly. Combine form, fit and function to create a smooth setup that effortlessly transforms raw materials into galaxy-grade robot products without you lifting a metallic finger.

Bottlenecks are your enemies. Remember to maintain a delicate balance between inputs and outputs so that productivity reaches its maximum potential, enabling you to progress through an extensive research tree.
Ensure that manufacturing runs at full speed. Keep your power supply well-fed and, as your factory expands, unlock upgraded machinery, advanced power generators and new customization options that will add efficiency and a splash of color to your production lines.
Work solo or collaborate in co-op and engineer creative solutions to complex logistical challenges in a vast voxel world.

Complicated at times, but so fun working it out. great gameplay and graphics.
nice
literalmente la copia descarada hasta la interfaz y progresión de factorio por una empresa de doble A. Asi que para jugar un juego sin alma, prefiero seguir en factorio y satisfactory.

game is very fun. I like it a bit more than satisfactory and im not sure why. same with factorio. It would be cool if we can construct ships to sell. maybe start small with cargo ships and then go up to full blown capital ships at some point. I would also like to see large scale excavators like quarry excavators for removing large amounts of terrain but the space laser works for now.
as somone who just got in this game (demo 21 hours) its fantastic
Update: Played more. Quite a bit more actually. In current state I'd consider it "iffy". I'm had fun researching the recipes, building my lines, upgrading/optimizing/etc., but, one major realization is that the game is ubercasual in a specific type of way. I very much dislike that
there is no threat/pressure/tension/adversarial aspect to it whatsoever.
No enemies, no environmental dangers. No fall damage. No oxygen level underwater. You can literally walk on lava. No weather, no pollution, no maintenance, no eating, no drinking, no "events", and of course, no running out of anything, ever. Seriously biggest "apocalypse" that's happened is a contaminated belt. 🤦♂️ If, like me, you're one of the players who'd sometimes rather just leave the game running overnight vs. busting ass to scale up and multiplex everything asap, to get faster results, you don't even have the pressure of "I'm tired of waiting for X to build or Y to research." Forum wars will probably go on forever (until there are options implemented to satisfy everyone's play style. We can hope, right?) But I would like to point out to all the "I just want a chill game"-people, that a factory game where you are permitted to literally destroy/dominate/terraform/corrupt the native environment with no environmental (or political) consequences whatsoever is IRL irresponsible; the outcome of such behavior is extinction-level violence, "nature vs. everybody". .... Moving on... it's the same flawed situation as all the other "infinite resource" automation games.
You work hard to tech up and build "difficult" items. then an hour later you're throwing them in the trash
cuz your inventory is full and nothing has actual value cuz you can craft infinite once you have the recipe and your line set up. Wish I had a good -- or any -- solution for this. But I don't. I feel like efficiency/utilization metrics are something to be explored. Like, formalized into a first-class part of the game experience, not just superficial readouts like "Machine #1138 has an efficiency of 78% at this particular moment." But that would be rough for first-time players, When it comes to admin details -- i.e. "space station" and "sales" -- UI/UX is wonk and has a super "bolted-on" feel. Everything super procedural, as in, you have to do it in order, click "screen 1, button A, subscreen 1, button B", etc., to get done what you want, instead of being able to use a fluent/fluid UI to breeze back and forth as needed. I mean... we've been in the "hypertext" era IRL for >30 years.... why are devs giving us a UI that's about as good as a phone voice UI, like "press 1 for sales, press 2 for support, etc."???
Answer: cuz that's all consoles and gamepads can handle. :(
--------------------------------------- orig: Had a good time on free weekend. Bought the game. As FortressCraft Evolved is my #1 factory game (and among my most played games on Steam), I'm certainly not opposed to the "fun but awkward/awkward but fun" school of design. Well, this game delivers. :P
