About
Sky shards float above ruined Japan... and only Polpo, a jet-powered mech, can jump high enough to reach them.
Forza Polpo is a vertical first-person platform shooter set after the collapse. Leap from shattered rooftops, glide across broken bridges, skim silent beaches, and soar past dormant nuclear plants... then blast bizarre enemies before your energy runs out. Inspired by the cult classic Jumping Flash! it distills pure ’90s arcade energy into a fresh, fast experience.

• Pure vertical action... first-person jumps up to 300 ft and long glides
• Energy economy... every jump and shot drains the same meter, choose or fall
• Two modes... Simulation for resource crunch, Arcade for unlimited fun
• Speedrun-ready... tight levels, perfect on Steam Deck
• Vibrant PS1-style visuals... bright low-poly arenas and a banging ’90s soundtrack
Somewhere above the clouds a secret waits. Face the void... grab Forza Polpo and jump.

A great first person shooter game, but super hard!
Cute Art, Great Music, fun gameplay, everything you want out of a Jumping Flash style shooter/platformer!
I've really enjoyed helping out the creator in testing this game! Ever since I played Jumping Flash on the PS Classic and fell in love with it, I had been looking for something to fill that hole, but nothing ever seemed to fit the bill... until Forza Polpo came along! While it's still in early access and has some rough edges, I know the dev is extremely committed to seeing the game through to completion and I would urge you to help support him on his journey if this looks like a cool concept to you.

I've been helping to beta test this and the experience has been an absolute blast, even in its early access state. Great replayability and the controls/mechanics have been well-tuned. It reminds me a lot of the PS1 Jumping Flash series from back in the day. Buying copies for all my friends and family members this season. Go go Polpo!!!
First of all, thank you to GigaByteWide for offering me this game, it's a nice game, easy and cute, very good for relaxing, I like the music and the effects. Dear developer, if I may, I would like to give you some advice, you should create a developer page, it's easy to do and it will allow you to promote all your products, to have a community of fans who follow you and who are aware of all your projects and those to come, I clicked on your name and for the moment it redirects me to nothingness, too bad I hope you will make an effort on that. There is also the fact that your game does not offer the slightest achievements, for me this is something super important and a lot of players do not buy products that do not contain achievements, making an effort on that would be appreciable. I played the game on Steamdeck, the game works perfectly there if anyone is wondering.
I really like the art style and the level design of this game! The cute and retro Japanese feeling of the game hides a very hard first person platformer, I recommend playing Forza Polpo in "Survival mode", where each movement depletes your energy and you have to figure a way to collect all the codecubes without running out of juice. Quick tip: shooting at enemies restores a bit of energy! I played the game on the Steam Deck with gyro controls and it works great! If you like vintage Japanese anime and you are an hardcore player, this game is for you! The only thing that could be improved (and it may be added in a future update) is to have a way to quickly restart a level without having to reload it from the bedroom!
Not only does this game scratch the itch we all have been feeling as we wait for another Jumping Flash! game, but it does something entirely new with the concept. It also fully stands apart from it's inspiration in wonderful and charming ways. I really enjoy the puzzle-like energy management of Simulation mode, but if you want an easier-going experience, Arcade mode is there for you.

I love the kawaii aesthetic and dreamy atmosphere. The game is challenging, just how I like it. I played the Early Access and will now dig in into the finished game. It runs well on the Steam Deck! ❤
I just finished playing Forza Polpo (EA) and I must say that I am impressed, this is one of the most interesting games I’ve played in a long time. A great platformer with a unique style and some interesting and unique gameplay features. Forza Polpo combines the look, feel, and mechanics of so many different kinds of games while keeping it fresh with a unique twist. It’s just so cool to be inside the body of a mini-robot, and I love the idea (aside from it being a platforming game) that you get to play as this tiny, cute little thing that can help save the world. I recommend it if you're looking for an interesting platform that feels like a different take on a retro genre!
