The Game has its interests and can be really fun at times but the game designers don't seem to have common sense how many of you would run around on a girder 100 ft up and as your stepping onto a cross girder would step off the edge and fall to you death??? Or jump over a gap and be bounced into open space because there is a small beam attached to the wall that deflects you making you miss but was no where even close to your line of jump. The problem is the world does not make common sense in terms of safe paths. A path that you would never take because of a big gap in the platform they want you to cross by hugging the left or right side on little bits of rebar sticking out from the wall but here is the catch one location it works just fine but on other locations you fall to your death and you can never tell which is which. Overall as long as you keep saves running "alot" before any tricky stuff you can have fun with the game but if you forget to save your going to be swearing at the stupid game again because the developers have no common sense or consistency for game terrain.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 28: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Can't turn all the shaking off and it's making me nauseous. Audio also has a constant static sound making it even more unpleasant to play.
No, I can't honestly recommend. It ran pretty poorly in multiplayer with way too many crashes. Not to mention the progression really felt a bit stunted and most of our building and prepping for stuff was really for absolutely nothing in the end. Threats were non-existent, nothing interesting happens on the surface, and resources are way too easy to actually come by that there wasn't a need to scour and salvage everything except to satisfy our OCD of leaving no stone unturned (for a while). The ending was pretty disappointing as well with no real resolution and again, no threats. What's the point of the giant beasties if they don't even do anything? What's the point of the warning that going too low is going to damage the hull when nothing happens? No reason to go fast unless you like getting to your lag faster, no reason to go higher unless you want to fall further. :(
A game that's got a perfectly unique charm, and captures the idea of survival-in-desolation better than anything else seen thus far. The prettiness of decay and neglect as in-motion processes, technological advancement next to downright malicious adaptation of nature, and warped electrotechno audio from accomplished talent; they all mix in ways that should never fit, and yet they do. The idea of being in a cocoon of safe harbor despite nature's worst storms - the juxtaposition of cozy life and the fury of a mutated mother nature - is embodied in Forever Skies in a way that... no matter how long it has been, always brings an inevitable revisit. Having followed this game since fairly early in player-available development, the team has repeatedly proven willing to revise and improve massive sections of the game, augment or introduce formidable new systems, and ask the player what it means to actually fix something. Let it be known that there is zero objectivity in this review, and Far From Home has long since earned a strong fan. In the interests of candor, one should check one's hardware specs before purchasing; the sheer volume of particles this game can render is astounding.
I believe everyone said it already, but yeah, at the beginning the game looks promising and interesting. Yes, graphics fine. First 4-5 hrs are interesing. Until it becomes clear how shallow the game is due to constantly repetative gameplay loop. 1. The same locations everywhhere (like literally 1:1 replicas) 2. You unlock new zones, which has different colors and you expect something else, but nope. This is just a tier 2 zone with 2 new locations. Nothing else 3. Grindwall is not painfiul, just anoying. Gating people with backtracking what realyy is painful. 4. Sorry but last tool is the most clear and obvious gimmick I've seen. 5. Inventory management. Guys, you are not newbies in game dev. It's 2026 and we still need to open each chest to store it? 6. This game literally doesnt care about you exploring it. Sorry, but giving 235 different posters is not encouraging. Only the first location has something like side with decent rewards like freezer. But again, this is not an exploration. This is just marker and nothing else. 7. Gardening automatization is just a joke. The most inconvenient one made so far. 8. And base building is just so sad. The rooms are tiny, especially vertically. All you do is having (1) machine room and (2) garden. AND THATS ALL. And having wide/tall ass zeppelin makes you hit environment often. I dont know, this game has potential and I want this to be that hiden gem but devs seem to prioritize releasing more stuff for the "cozy" gamers who gonna spend 2 hours spinnning fking garden gnome to put it in the corner, having his baloon weight more than his moma and never even touching the game again.
Ok after playing more after the update, and the devs fixing the weight issue with a hotfix... I still can't reccomend this game. But not for the previous reasons (Old review will stay at bottom) The new "ship power system" upset a lot of people (myself included at first) but we have since worked on it. Before, each machine had a battery, cheap to make, consumable, powering it. Now they dont, and your ship has a total power draw and supply through generators, and you can turn machines on/off. The issue is... its now a non-issue. Make enough generators and then NEVER BOTHER WITH THE MECHANIC AGAIN. The devs removed a mechanic we interacted with regularly, and replaced it with a "set it and forget it" non-mechanic lol. I cannot understand how they thought this was an upgrade. The reason I can't reccomend the game now is the other addition in the update. The "security" system, the drones. They're at best annoying for no reason, and at worst constant death. And the funny thing is, I like a challenge. But this game and it's "combat" system simply aren't good enough to be attacked constantly at almost every POI. Sometimes by 6+ enemies at once. And yes, there's an option to disable them, which I now have enabled. But most people's first experience will be leaving settings at one of the preset difficulty settings, which has those things enabled. The drones were a bad call. A very bad call. The general way this game is/was marketed was relaxed, and it's anything but since the update. ---OLD REVIEW BELOW--- Do you like playing for a long time? progressing and building a ship. Yes? Do you like logging in today and realizing the devs decided your ship suddenly has no power and cant move. Do you like logging in today and realizing they changed the weight system, so even if the power wasn't borked, you still can't move. No? Then this isn't the game
This game is good, and a bit frustrating because its *almost* truly GREAT. The game is as if someone played subnautica, loved the part of the game where they got the sub, (my favourite part) and decided to make a whole game of that. Except its in the air, and made the entire thing buildable/customizable. the problem is content. Theres only a handful of kinda stock locations to go to. They get old pretty fast. And even though theres only 4ish surface areas, none of them are really "fun", its an interesting idea and breaks up the game play a bit for the first while, but you'll get very tired of each one long before you collect all the things you need to collect there. all-in-all I'm not sorry I bought it, it was definitely fun, and I'd recommend it. but its a game that you'll feel like you wish there was more to it.
I truly love this game. I have clocked hundreds of hours on it, mostly offline, playing through several different stages of development, and I always feel better after playing. For context, I am disabled and unable to pursue even indoor hobbies so I play a ridiculous amount of video games to live vicariously. First, this game satisfies my deep need to explore, to find new places and gather resources. There is a good variety of locations, proceedurally generated to increase variety in layout and resources, and the number of sidequests add extra variety and small puzzles to be solved to progress. As it has entered the later stages of development there have been added amazing, beautiful locations and combat that is thrilling, and sometimes frustrating at first on hard, only to give you upgraded combat tools by the end of the first combat stage that makes it easier, without it being too easy. Second, the storyline is compelling from the beginning, but for me, the random bits of story found on 'data pads' throughout, giving you a peek into lives long past, or the ones sent from your family, they touch the heart and give so much life to the world you feel connected despite there not being any other living humans (yet). During its progress I have watched so much being added, so much quality of life, so much customizations, silly fun things, everything. I love this game, so much. I play a bit of everything, and have over five hundred games in my steam library, and yet this one is one of my absolute favorites. I can see myself going back to it again and again and again even after it is finished and I have completed all the content. 10/10 buy this game.
i think this game definitely deserves a positive review. it's a passion project that's rough around the edges on certain spots but overall it's a very beautiful and chill game. you hop on to your sky base and move around whats left of the earth's towers and skyscrapers while managing food and water, and upgrading your ship and equipment. you can build rooms and compartmentalize them however you want, decorate them to an extent, have a garden full of different plants, and a kitchen and a storage room and a research room if you want. i would say landmarks are fairly unique and different from one another, at least the types of towers (so a garden tower will be like all other garden towers but different than a wind turbine tower, and there is fair number of poi's to visit this way). upgrading your equipment and ship parts is satisfying, managing your survival is business as usual. expect nothing revolutionary there. but there is an interesting disease management mechanic and related sub systems in the game. like using a virus analyzer machine to produce a vaccine and then injecting yourself etc. story is mildly interesting as well. interesting enough to expect from a game like this that is. don't expect lovecraftian worldbuilding here (or maybe do? :3). i really don't understand all the hate towards this game. i think it's beautiful. sunrise and sunsets create incredible vistas visually. i usually sleep during the day and explore/do stuff at night because the game is so beautiful at night. my only few negative criticisms could be summed up as follows: - i felt that progression pacing was a bit off sometimes. while playing normally, you may not find the blueprint of something very important for a very long time. and it would turn out that i had to visit a specific tower to get it, and avoid all the inventory hurdles or other similar mild annoyances if i did that. but that's partly on me. this can change from person to person but i feel like the location of some blueprints should be made more obvious to the player. so small issues with item blueprint pacing i would say. - game is a bit stuttery sometimes but it has definitely improved over time. regarding both early access and 1.0. we have much better optimization now but there is still room for improvement. - resources felt abundant to me. i was playing on normal difficulty and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ felt like i was drowning in resources. but that was partly due to my play style. i am a hoarder. i tend to hoard a lot of things in survival games like the long dark, subnautica, pz etc. but thankfully there is a slider setting for these mechanics in the game so i will give that a shot on my second playtrough. that's about it. and none of these criticisms were enough to stop me playing it. the thing is though i would suggest that you take this game slow. in this day and age of players being programmed to drill and churn through the content as fast as possible, if you rush through this game you will not enjoy it. just chillax bro and take in them sweet vistas. check your water collector, take a sip. cook a dust moth and eat that. check your ship for damage. check your database entries and read the ones you haven't read. then check the next thing you need to do. check your resources. collect resources if you are low on them. wait for suitable weather before traveling. complete your blueprints before really venturing out. and take on missions slowly. explore everything. read every entry and collect every item. that's how you will enjoy this game. don't rush through content. listen to the chill music and just look around. cheers
In my 44 hours with this game, I can't really recommend it. The first 4-5 hours are enjoyable, but it quickly devolves into "Go to this location, then go this location across the map, but it's a 1:1 replica of the area you were just at, even down to the named dead bodies." There's just nothing here but tons of fluff, and for 30 bucks I think everyone had the expectation of more. Maybe not A TON, but for 30 dollars, I'd like to explore more than the same exact areas over and over and over again to progress a "story" that most people probably lose interest in within the first couple of hours. Save your money and just watch someone play it on Youtube. Your wallet will thank you.
