About
You came to the forest for something simple.
To breathe. To walk. To fish, hunt, gather mushrooms — and disappear from the noise for a while.
Then something found you first. You wake up alone in the middle of the woods, disoriented.
Somewhere in the distance, you spot an old fire lookout tower. It’s the only landmark you have.
Maybe the only chance you have left.
Forest Doesn’t Care throws you into a dense, living wilderness inspired by real terrain:
deep forests, swamps, hills, abandoned places, hidden paths, and long stretches of silence that feel almost too real.
What begins as a desperate search for help slowly turns into something much stranger.
Reach remote towers.
Search abandoned places.
Follow traces left by people who came before you.
Meet the few who still live here — and decide whether they are helping you, using you, or lying to you.
This is not a base-building sandbox.
You won’t be cutting down forests or constructing massive structures. Survival here is practical, limited, and grounded in reality. You are not here to conquer the forest.
You are here to survive it.
Whether you want a quiet life in the woods or a brutal fight to survive, the game offers multiple ways to play:
Peaceful — explore, fish, gather, and enjoy the forest at your own pace
Survival — balance freedom, danger, and the need to stay alive
Hardcore — harsher conditions, higher risk, less forgiveness
One Life — no second chances
What starts as a search for help can turn into a calm life in the wilderness…
or your worst mistake.
This is not a traditional horror game.
There are no cheap haunted house tricks here.
But the deeper you go, the more the forest begins to feel wrong.
Strange symbols.
Unfinished messages.
Improvised rituals.
People who speak like they know more than they should.
And signs that something in this place has been waiting much longer than you’ve been alive.
Explore the forest solo or with friends in multiplayer.
Travel together, survive together, argue over supplies, get lost, or sit by the fire —
before everything goes wrong again.
The forest doesn’t care how many of you there are.
Experience the forest the way it was meant to be seen.
Forest Doesn’t Care pushes dense, lifelike environments to the limit — with tens of thousands of trees, dynamic lighting, and rich atmospheric detail.
With NVIDIA DLSS, you can boost performance using AI-powered upscaling without sacrificing visual quality.
For players seeking the absolute best image, DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) delivers maximum clarity and detail — perfect for capturing every branch, shadow, and movement in the forest.
And with NVIDIA Reflex, gameplay becomes more responsive, reducing system latency and ensuring every movement feels precise and immediate.
Choose your balance between performance and visual fidelity — and step into a forest that feels truly alive.
Forest Doesn't Care was created by a two-person team driven by one goal: to build a forest that doesn't feel like a level, but like a real place. A place where you can fish, hunt, camp, survive, get lost — and gradually realize that something is deeply wrong here. Everything in this project grew far beyond what we originally planned — the world, the systems, the secrets, the danger, and the freedom we wanted to give the player.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been with us since the early days — back when this was just a quiet mushroom-picking experience.
Somewhere along the way, the project took on a life of its own.
And we decided to follow it as far as it goes.

good game
nem roda condicoes minimas estao erradas ,REEMBOLSO!
How do I get this game to run faster then 3 FPS ?? Running a GTX3070?
Explore explore explore and ye shall find. I thought it was going to be a tedious walk about and get lost in the woods scenario. But hey, set your compass and go. Lots to do and you will bump into some strange goings on. People who live in the woods will protect what they have achieved and you are the enemy. Such as I found out. Biggest tip I have is, find the shotgun and bigger backpack. It will help you out, a lot.
Trash with a lot of bugs. This game is like Beta test. Don't waste your time and money
Game has serious issues started it up created my character did the settings start a game everything was fine....quite game to desktop and it wouldnt start again tried numerous times the screen res would go wonky okay look in app data folder for game and it wasnt saving a settings config???? ....tried 10 more times to get game to launch eventually it did after deleting the entire app data folder and know allows me to play... The AI is crap in this youl be wondering next thing you know hyper angry guys who move all over the place erratically start shooting at you no way of defending yourself except die and restart again...dev needs to give people a starting pistol something fire arm based so you can deal with the stupid bad guys that youl come across and work on thee AI itself....there like juiced up robots with super aiming abilities no map no tutorial just drop ya in game figure crap out isnt really fun...you dont even get a compass so no idea what direction your going in just wonder around aimlessly Had issue with xbox 1 controller too go to move view around or walk and my guy kept moving and turning his head isnt a dead zone issue as i tested that through the steam controller settings eventually after while screwin with that got it to work properly.... i do not recommend this untill dev takes the time to iron the current issues out including issue with xbox 1 controllers and even then nothing really to do in game its a forest knock off with more basis on adventuring nothing really special here or different....it does look really nice with good weather effects about all it has going for it.... Last thing that killed it for me was to report a bug u have to go to 3rd party site and create a account????this is a single indie dev... reporting should be done on the steam community forum not on a 3rd party site
