Great game! Reminds me of Inscryption without the cluttered mechanics. Keeps the gameplay loop simple yet interesting for the duration. Love the old CG, it's really charming for this narrative. I finished NG+ for all achievements and think they could have done more with it but it was enjoyable nonetheless! Highly recommended if you're into meta narratives. :)
Love casual based tripeaks solitaire games like Disney Solitaire. Alas, free to play ones put horrible limits on progression making it impossible to truly enjoy. Thankfully! Forbidden Solitaire is a premium title that does no such thing! Having the analogue horror story, and presentation only further elevates it, and makes this one of the best solitaire games ever made! If you enjoy horror, and solitaire you owe it to yourself to play this one.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Clever mechanics, cool story. Wish it was a bit more challenging though!
Fun little throw-back horror adventure! The horror elements are text and photos and Spooky Sounds - no jumpscares here. You've got about 5 hours of good stuff in here. Easy recommendation from me.
I don't understand why this game has such good reviews, I'm trying to have a relaxing game of solitaire but I keep getting attacked by demons! Also the graphics are really outdated and it's full of bugs and malware, Since installing it I keep getting spam messages from some idiot I don't know and there's missing textures and garbled text throughout, just a very poorly designed experience all round, it crashed to bluescreen at one point and I'm basically &&%%$%$%&&& - _^&%$^%&£&^% &^%&^£%£&%&^%%%%%% 555555^&^%&$&%^$&^$ &^%£&^$
**Forbidden Solitaire nails the 90s FMV aesthetic almost perfectly.** — the sickly colors, crude pre-rendered 3D, glitchy full-motion video, cheesy synth soundtrack, and that whole “cursed CD-ROM you found in a thrift store” framing feel like something that actually could have existed in 1995. The presentation doesn’t just reference the era; it fully commits to the bit in a way that feels authentic rather than ironic. The story is simple but effective. It keeps pulling you forward just enough that finishing a hand never feels like the end. Every time I cleared a board I immediately wanted to play one more, partly for the next bit of narrative and partly because the solitaire itself stays satisfying. The combat layers, jokers, and upgrades give the classic card-clearing loop real stakes without turning it into something overly complicated. It’s a short, focused experience that knows exactly what it’s going for and sticks the landing. If you like solitaire with actual atmosphere and a little horror weirdness, this one delivers. Highly recommended.
Pretty quick game, but exactly as long as it should have been tbh, very fun.
enjoyable
A solid real 8/10 game. It is a fun and crunchy little puzzle game that starts off a little 'random' initially, but you quickly start gaining abilities, tactics, and strategies to get considerably more consistent. Throw in 'boss fight' puzzles and that classic 'lost media/pre rendered graphics' look, with a very classic "haunted game.exe' story, then you have a very fun 6 hour experience with a bit of replayability.
Huge fan of solitaire as it is but this really gave it a spooky twist which I really liked. Graphics were really well done for the selected time period and gameplay and sound design was overall amazing. However, my few gripes with the game stem mainly from the final boss (SPOILERS FROM HERE ON) . . The final boss design is very basic which in a game with some really good monster design, was a huge let down. Especially because it was designed in a more modern style with smoother textures, a huge 180 from the 1980s graphics. With the same animation cycle repeating throughout the fight and a bland background in a game filled with some rich background art, it kind of just felt like an after thought to me and not very memorable compared to the rest of the game. Overall, this game was very fun and a definite win in my eyes for just basic fun with a horror twist. If the final boss was tweaked a bit i'd recommend this game a 10/10 but i'll settle for an 8/10 for now xxx
