i found it to be not challenging enough my first playthrough, luckily there is a NG+ and it increases the difficultly. I wish it was longer and maybe had some more to it. But this kinda way of playing solitaire is on the right track to making these sorta games more entertaining for sure.
What a fantastic game. After watching the trailer, I was absolutely convinced this would be a great game - and I was right. The visuals, soundtrack and setting are what make Forbidden Solitaire truly special. They nailed the artstyle, and I wish more games were authentic like this. The gameplay hooks you and the mechanics are very easy to learn. The story and dialogues aren't exactly the best and could certainly be improved in future iterations, but that's ok. Highly recommended!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I don't know what I expected; it literally is just solitaire. While there are cards with different modifiers (usually most dealing damage to you), and jester cards, which can be helpful, most of the time you will be beholden to the luck of the draw. You'll be dying semi-regularly to things out of your control. I had hoped for more horror moments or mystery elements, where we could uncover more about the history of the game ourselves, as well as more dungeon crawling or survival elements. You are on a set linear path with no varied choices or enemies and the game heals you after every encounter. I thought there would be more to the ending; it doesn't really feel like there is any closure to the story and ends up feeling abrupt. I had fun and I loved the retro 3d graphics, but I was left underwhelmed. It doesn't set out to do anything amazing or reinvent the genre; it's just solitaire. 6/10
good
Overall I really enjoyed this game! It really brought in the old PC game nostalgia for me.
A really nice throwback to 90's videogaming, as well as a welcome addition to the 'tri-peaks solitaire' vibe in general.
Best trainer to beat your mother in solitaire.
Picked up this game on a whim, and honestly? Really enjoyed it. Did two laps, both the first play and New Game+ I'd say I got my money's worth. Lots of personality in this game, its a wonderful homage to old 90's dungeon crawlers, boxed with a plot that feels pulled from a cheesy creepypasta, which the game is sincere in its B-film-like plot. It also helps that the core game itself is just fun! Good progression curve, whenever I lost a game I usually nailed it on the second go. The game knows what it is and doesn't outstay its welcome. I wish there was some kind of endless or roguelike mode you could unlock after you beat the game, but I'm asking for more in a game that's already full enough for what it is.
