FOR GOD'S SAKE, HELP HIM! is a tiny, surreal first-person art "game" about what it's like. your goal is singular and simple: try to help him, however you can... if you can. that's a tall order considering you're both in a blank void and he's being crushed over and over.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
FOR GOD'S SAKE, HELP HIM! is a tiny, surreal first-person art "game" about what it's like. your goal is singular and simple: try to help him, however you can. if you can.
in this blank, reverberant void, the only things around are you, him, and giant objects periodically falling out of the sky and crushing him. simply put, he needs help.
for a few minutes, you can step in and help him. no, seriously -- it will probably only be a few minutes of playtime.
walk around and explore the void if you'd like. interact with whatever you can. maybe you'll find something out there that can help, but wander too far and you'll wrap back around to where you started. surely, somewhere in this space, you can find a quick and easy solution to get him out of this predicament for good, and we'll all live happily ever after?
only one level, only one objective, only one ending.
the game exclusively revolves around helping him. there is nothing else. there's a reason the game's free.
Geniale.
Ti ritrovi a sentire urla strazianti.
FOR GOD'S SAKE, HELP HIM! is one of those tiny games that I finished before I really had time to figure out what I was getting myself into. It is a strange little first person experience set inside a completely empty void, where the only important thing around me is a man who keeps getting crushed by giant objects falling from the sky. My entire purpose is simply to try and help him. That sounds ridiculous when I write it down, but the game actually manages to make the situation feel strangely uncomfortable and memorable. The simplicity is what makes it work for me. There is no complicated tutorial, combat system or huge world to learn. I can walk around the void, look at what is happening and interact with whatever I can find. The environment is intentionally bare, which makes the focus stay completely on the man and his awful situation. I liked how the game gives me just enough freedom to start wondering if there is something nearby that I have missed. There is also something interesting about how the game handles repetition. Watching him get crushed again and again is obviously horrible, but it also becomes part of the strange humour and absurdity of the experience. I found myself trying different things simply because I wanted to see whether something would actually make a difference. The game does not need a complicated puzzle to make me curious. The situation itself is enough to make me want to keep looking. The atmosphere is probably the strongest part for me. The empty space, the sound of everything happening around me and the bizarre situation create a feeling that is difficult to describe normally. It feels almost like a small interactive art piece rather than a conventional game. There is also a slightly philosophical feeling underneath the absurdity, because I am placed in a situation where someone clearly needs help and I have to work out what that actually means. The biggest weakness is obviously the length. FOR GOD'S SAKE, HELP HIM! is extremely short, and there is only one level, one objective and one ending. I would have liked a little more to explore, especially because the unusual concept could have been expanded in some interesting ways. At the same time, I think making it longer could have taken away from the joke and the point of the experience. It knows exactly what it wants to be and gets there quickly. I also appreciate that the game is completely free. That makes the short runtime much easier for me to accept because I am not being asked to spend much money for what is essentially a small experimental experience. It feels like a developer trying out an idea and turning it into something playable rather than trying to stretch a simple concept into a huge game. I actually prefer that approach here because the strange little scenario stays focused. Overall, I think FOR GOD'S SAKE, HELP HIM! is a weird, funny and surprisingly memorable little experience. There is not much content here, but I do not think it needs much more to accomplish what it sets out to do. I liked wandering around the empty void, trying to figure out how I could possibly help him and seeing how the situation develops. It is definitely not a game I would recommend for someone looking for a long adventure, but as a short experimental experience, I thought it was genuinely worth playing. Rating: 7.3/10
For help's sake... god him
this game says a lot about society
Fascinating little art project. Really love how the creator managed to say so much with such a simple premise. Also, confused how only 90% of people have the "did all you could" achievement. I suppose some people closed the game without trying at all?
I get the message, but honestly the whole game kind of just made me smile the whole way through. It was kind of hilarious, like some sort of comedy skit. Not much to say besides that. The message isn't really worth commenting on, it's pretty obvious and very "I'm 14 and this is deep." Pretty much common sense stuff. I'm a diagnosed autistic and can still tell you that. It's just 101 social awareness stuff. But hey, it's pretty surreal and silly, plus it's free, so give it a go.
