After a rough start, SI put out enough fixes to make the game playable. Learning the new AI does take time. Invest the 20-30 hours necessary and you will find the game quite enjoyable.

so, yes i am know this game for a long time (all the i have cm2023 version and its better to get to this version but play this rubbbish thing) and the UI here is less than okay and some screens that i used to use (like see if my youth academy is good compare to others or staff like that) is gone (maybe they have some analytics that say to them or this screen no one use and they like removed it, but its like report from DB data so why removed in the first place, just weird decision). In any case, the game is okay, its like better game engine to watch but worse ui to play and ui is the most of the game (switch between screens, to remove player from the search after scout report i need to click like 5 clicks to add to uninterested list). You can imagine that other stuff is not good too. lots of features the same as fm 24. In general recommend to buy, as i did on sale, not worth the full price for sure (and probably the UI guys should go and change the profession, as i think they never play the previous versions of the game).

I'd cautiously recommend FM26, but with the caveat that you should not expect to get lost in your saves as previous editions. The truth is I like this game but just not as much as previous years. The matches and the tactical aspects of the game feel better, although I feel like there's still more room to improve and add more tactical flexibility and feedback. The match engine is better, the match presentation is better. But I find myself playing less of this game because I get to a point in my saves where I feel like the save game isn't going anywhere. I build a great team but I have no real clue about the global context to my success or to how the club is growing. I'm not really motivated to build a dynasty, whether that's at club or indeed as a journeyman manager. As for the UI, I understand why people don't like it, I can accept SI's reasoning behind the change and I can just about find everything I need (although not all the time). However, there's way, way, way too many clicks involved in just navigating to a basic screen or to do something simple. For example, and this is a minor gripe from the top of my head, why in the press conference when I want to no comment, storm out or End the Presser are those options hidden behind an extra click? (I'm not going mention the lack of logic of some of the questions that has remain for 10 years now). Or if I want to look at a national team under 19 squad it's a total pain. Firstly navigating to national teams is annoying, and then when you're on the national team squad screen, you have to click tiny little dots to navigate to the squad you want to see. But make sure you don't miss clicking on the dots or you will have to start all over again. Ultimately the UI and UX is fatiguing. So fatiguing that that the motivation to enjoy the match day experience is lessened, the motivation to navigate through the UI to find out what is happening in the world is essentially zero. The next game has to deliver on the UI. I needs to be easier to navigate, easier for the eyes to track and less taxing for those long, just one more game, sessions. Oh. And the newgens are absolutely hideous little creatures. Completely unacceptable and also kills long term saves.
