I absolutely hate the new user interface in Football Manager 26. What used to feel intuitive and efficient now feels like a constant struggle of navigating back and forth through menus, with far too many unnecessary clicks just to get to where you want to be. The whole interface feels like it has been designed around a different type of player. It honestly seems like the developers have made major changes to accommodate console players, and somewhere along the way they have forgotten about the game's core audience: long-time PC players who value depth, efficiency and control. Football Manager has always been about managing a huge amount of information quickly and efficiently. The new UI gets in the way of that. Instead of making the experience smoother, it adds friction to almost every part of the game. It feels like a classic case of fixing something that wasn't broken, and in the process, making the overall experience significantly worse for the people who have been playing and supporting Football Manager for years. Very disappointing. The new UI is, in my opinion, a massive step backwards.

After a rough start, SI put out enough fixes to make the game playable. Learning the new AI does take time. Invest the 20-30 hours necessary and you will find the game quite enjoyable.
