Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You’ve been absent. Perhaps you once called this world home, but it moved on without you. Where were you? How long has it been? Alone on a boat in a sea of Flux, you set off without destination to find answers.
The entire planet lies before you. No matter where you go, you find a unique trace of the past. Lost journal letters. Remains of a great temple. Derelict research papers. Ancient conversations between peers. Soon you start making connections, and previous discoveries grow in weight.
Knowledge is progress. There is no combat, waypoints, or skill trees - just you, your ship, your tools, and the waiting world.
Constellations rotate overhead as you glide over the waves. You learn to sail by the stars, using the sky as your guide.
Each location you explore offers up new mysteries and answers. You take note of your discoveries in your journal for later.
You pause after reviewing your notes. The strange puzzle from a previous location begins to make sense. You know what to do now.

My current review of the game: I spent hours writing ramblings of a madman and pieces together a rudementry map. It failed. I spent hours trying to read a star map to find a building I saw this morning. I found the location, I solved the puzzle. I found three notes that lead me to a philosophical question. I have discovered 81 locations and solved mere puzzles. This is peak.... No. This is Flux Empyrean.
Pretty interesting and immersive game, while I haven’t played much currently I’m absolutely enjoying the discovery aspect of the game especially how at times it feels either trippy or eerie, kinda reminds me of Voices of the void in that sense. Overall, you should try this game out for sure if you like exploring things blindly or like lore hunting.

Do not play this game if you value your sanity or your time. It will steal every available brain cell for weeks! You have been warned. Still here? Prepare to lose weeks of decent sleep. Here's what the experience was like for me. Hours 0 - 14 - oh a nice boat sailing game! That's a cool location on the horizon. There's some nice poetry or world building notes here. How relaxing. Hours 15 - 29 - looks like I'm supposed to do something here, don't know what. Maybe a new place I haven't explored will have the answer. Hours 30 - 44 - a wonderful and frustrating mix of things falling into place, and things making no sense at all. Hours 45+ - surrender, asking for help on discord, getting 100%. But seriously consider this game. With the recent patches, you'll be getting a much more polished and streamlined experience than I had. When you encounter something that doesn't make sense yet, write it down. You'll thank me later. Also make sure to catch a bunch of fish everywhere you visit. Throw the ball in the water not too far away from you, wait 5-10 seconds until you see it pulled below the surface, then PULL. If 10 seconds pass with no activity, call it back and try again.
Really awesome game about discovering the world that came before you, across a vast ocean. The sailing takes some time to get used to but is great once you get the hang of navigating the stars. You will need to spend a few hours before anything makes sense at all, and it will feel strange to leave locations unfinished, but as you explore the world and begin to make thematic and literal connections between people and places, things will begin to click. The enjoyment of the game is slowly learning how this world works and having that Eureka! moment when the answer to a puzzle or piece of lore comes to your mind. There have been a few bugs, but the developer is actively patching them out and listening to the community. Plus, if you're ever stuck on a specific puzzle, my experience is that the community on discord is more than happy to point you in the right direction!
Intriguing exploration that doesn't hold your hand
Flux Empyrean is not a game for everyone, but it is absolutely a game that I loved. The feeling of exploration and being lost this game gives is simply fantastic, and now I have gotten every ending, I can say this is my game of the year so far. It blends puzzles and mystique so incredibly well to create an amazing experience, and while for the first 15 hours I was completely lost, that's the beauty of it. Also, if anyone wants help, the amazing community in the discord server for the game are super helpful and always up to discuss the game with you. This is a beautiful game that channels the magic of outer wilds in a very refreshing way that keeps it unique, and if that sounds good to you, please give it a try.
...what?....the ♥♥♥♥....?
First review I've made I usually am not a big fan of trying to piece out lore from scattered bits of information, but this has got me hooked. I've started writing notes on the side and trying to draw a map, which isnt thectype of commitment I usually bring to my games. The feeling of seeing a shape in the distance and realizing just how much bigger it is than you thought once you approach it is awe inspiring. Very good experience so far
outer wilds but on a boat
