In this last chapter of the Five Nights at Freddy's original story, you must once again defend yourself against Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and even worse things that lurk in the shadows.

We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

WAS THAT THE BITE OF '83?!
Оценка: 83/10

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Metacritic is gay as ♥♥♥♥ bruh FNaF 4 isn't flawed at all its just specialized. It sacrifices accessibility and strategic variety to achieve the purest form of survival horror in the series, making it the perfect entry for players who prioritize raw tension and skill execution over lore exposition or complex mechanics. If you're worried about there not being much replayability or whatever gay gameplay loop you need just make friends and watch their stupid ass go into this unknowingly.
Genuinely the scariest game in the franchise. I would seriously recommend playing with loudness equalization otherwise your eardrums will explode during a jumpscare. The Nightmares work so well with the gameplay it is genuinely crazy. There's an excellent flow to the game and while the Nightmares do suffer from debatably being too extra, their jumpscares are excellent in their presentation. First game to ever do a "Night 5 final boss" too so it gets some points for that. The story is the really contentious part of the game and I don't blame people for having issues with it because of that. The lore is especially confusing here, I mean how were we supposed to know that the night sections and the 8 bit sections take place at completely different points of the timeline at the time until latter material implied that? Despite that I really love this game.
scariest game in the series! scott cawthon did a good job on adding the most horrifying animatronic jumpscares! :)
This is the scariest FNAF game in my opinion. I done night 1-6 and nightmare mode. I still have not done the 20/20/20/20 mode.
FNAF 4 is nightmare fuel wearing tiny bedroom slippers. Taking the series out of the security office and putting it in a kid’s bedroom was evil in the best way. The whole game feels personal, claustrophobic, and way too quiet until it absolutely is not. The listening mechanic is terrifying. You are standing at doors, straining to hear breathing, wondering if your headphones are betraying you, and then suddenly something with too many teeth reminds you that you are, in fact, not built for this. The Nightmare animatronics are some of the scariest designs in the series. They are sharp, huge, ugly, monstrous, and somehow exactly what your childhood brain would invent if it wanted you to never sleep again. I love FNAF 4, but I also hate what it does to my nervous system. Played it. Did not beat it. Survived emotionally? Debatable.
The scariest game in the FNaF franchise. Period. The atmosphere of the game makes you feel hopeless in a way that no other game in the series does. I legit had to stop playing for a while after I first got jumpscared, since that experience was so terrifying that I just quit because I didn't want that to happen again. The gameplay adds on to this, making you listen for quiet breathing and footsteps to survive, all in an effort to not get your ears blown out by an animatronic. It's great stuff. The gameplay is actually pretty simple, but the shorter night lengths don't make that that much of an issue, and just as when the gameplay gets monotonous, Nightmare Fredbear appears and kicks your ass. It's a great twist and an excellent 1-up of the "final boss" that was FNaF3's Springtrap. The game isn't perfect, however. The story, while not terrible in isolation, is absolutely horrid in retrospect. This game introduced a lot of new stuff that doesn't meaningfully link up to anything, and the stuff that is bad is REALLY BAD. The box was never answered, the toy animatronics that I'm sure were just cameos being turned into actual lore tid-bits makes the story hard to follow. These problems weren't super prominent until SL, but they absolutely started here. Another thing I don't like is Nightmare's jumpscare. I don't know why Scott decides to give the sickest looking, boss-like animatronics the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jumpscares, it just doesn't make any sense. Those are my main issues with the game. There are a few nitpicks I have, like the unfairness of Fun with Balloon Boy and the trivialness of 20/20/20/20 mode, but they're not major enough to actively hinder my enjoyment with the game. Overall, this is one of the best games in the FNaF series simply because it has a captivating gameplay loop, and actually does what a horror game should do, which is be actually scary.
