FIND KITTENS 8: Happy New Year 🎄🥂🎅

Pretty quick game where you find cats. I really like the art style the devs are going with, and I think its a good level of challenging. Finished? Yes Steam Achievements? Just play the game. Honetly this one was a low point for the series. Getting to 230 cats before a single colour area pop in was pretty unsatisfying (and there were things that could have easily been separate pops such as the sleigh/Santa). You may have got even unluckier that I did and hit an even higher number than that before a single pop. Some of the cat shapes were practically unrecognisable, there is one that is drawn and textured to just resemble snow coverage, one was squished in the square gap in the 'elbow' (for lack of a better term) of a snowman, a lot hidden behind items with only the smallest area to actually click and the item they're hiding behind not clickable. It just didn't really feel like finding cats so much as pixel hunting for what could ave been considered a cat. The theme?? It was Christmas?? Like this should have just been a DLC level for the Christmas game, not a separate 'New Year' game. There was genuinely no part of this that made it new years. No counters, no fireworks, no references to big NY events like ball drops or whatever else. Very disapppointing. The music didn't seem to loop right? Sometimes it would just be dead silent for an extended time. I hope this isn't the way the overall series goes, I do understand these games are cheap and putting them out quickly is best for the company but if this quality is what we can come to expect I will most likely be dropping the Hidden Cat series.

Didn't like this one as much as the rest. Some of cat shapes were too strange and un-catlike made it annoyingly difficult to find them. Pass on this one.

HIDDEN CATS 8: Happy New Year is one of my favorite hidden cat games. Very Very LITTLE Studio has became my favorite hidden object game developers! Highly recommended

The series was great, but they have started to use liquid "cats". Is it round? it's a cat. It's thin and curved? It's a cat. The cats have stopped being "cats", which was one of the strongest points of this series (along side the coloring by section).

(ignore my time played, I walked off with the game left on lol) These are definitely some of the better made "cat clickers" here on Steam, which you can tell a lot of care and effort went into the art for them. The lineart is clean and the cats are well hidden-- and actually hidden, not gimmicky with mismatched lineart widths! It's a nice breath of fresh air. Thank you dev!!
