Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Final Quest is a retro-style fantasy RPG developed by RPG Video and published by Back To Basics Gaming that embraces the structure and spirit of classic role-playing adventures from earlier gaming generations. Built with a clear love for traditional RPG mechanics, the game delivers a large fantasy world filled with war, magic, ancient powers, and heroic journeys. While its presentation remains simple and heavily inspired by older RPGMaker titles, the game succeeds through its focus on exploration, character progression, party management, and nostalgic storytelling. Rather than attempting to modernize every aspect of the genre, Final Quest fully commits to delivering a classic fantasy adventure designed for players who appreciate old-school role-playing experiences. The story takes place in the troubled world of Paylea, a land slowly collapsing under the weight of war and corruption. The Sepcom Empire, ruled by the ruthless King Edward, has spread destruction and suffering across the continent through endless conflict and blind ambition. In the middle of this chaos, players follow Ralph and his companions as they search for legendary gems tied to powerful ancient warriors. Alongside the larger political conflict, the narrative also explores personal struggles involving family, destiny, and the search for hope in a dying world. A mysterious young boy connected to the legendary Gem Warriors becomes central to the story, leading the party into a dangerous journey filled with hidden truths and supernatural threats. The narrative embraces familiar fantasy themes, but it does so with sincerity that makes the adventure enjoyable despite its reliance on classic genre conventions. Themes of friendship, sacrifice, destiny, and resistance against tyranny are woven throughout the campaign. While the story may not completely reinvent fantasy storytelling, it captures the charm of traditional RPG adventures where players slowly build a party, travel across distant lands, and gradually uncover secrets connected to ancient powers and forgotten history. Exploration is one of the strongest aspects of Final Quest. The world of Paylea feels surprisingly large and varied for an indie RPGMaker title, featuring towns, forests, caves, castles, deserts, and dangerous dungeons scattered throughout the map. Traveling between locations creates a strong sense of adventure because the game consistently rewards curiosity. Hidden items, side quests, optional encounters, and secret paths encourage players to explore thoroughly instead of rushing through the main story. The large overworld structure helps reinforce the feeling of participating in a long and dangerous journey across a world at war. Combat uses an Active Time Battle system that keeps encounters moving at a faster pace than traditional turn-based combat. Instead of waiting for static turns, characters and enemies act according to timing gauges, forcing players to make decisions more quickly during battle. This system adds energy to combat while still preserving strategic depth through magic, special abilities, healing, and party management. Boss encounters become particularly engaging because players must balance offense and defense carefully while reacting to increasingly dangerous attacks and abilities. Character progression also adds variety to the gameplay. Players can customize party composition and experiment with different job classes that influence combat roles and strategies. Some characters excel in offensive magic, while others focus on physical attacks, healing, or defensive support. This flexibility allows players to build teams that suit their preferred playstyle while also encouraging experimentation throughout the campaign. The progression systems are not overly complex, but they provide enough customization to make party development feel rewarding over time. The inclusion of a day-and-night cycle helps give the world additional atmosphere. Certain areas feel different depending on the time of day, and the changing environments make exploration feel slightly more dynamic during long play sessions. Combined with the fantasy soundtrack and colorful environments, this feature contributes to the game’s immersive quality despite its technical limitations. Visually, Final Quest embraces the traditional RPGMaker aesthetic with sprite-based characters, colorful maps, and classic top-down exploration. While the graphics are simple and clearly retro-inspired, they fit the nostalgic tone the game is aiming for. Fans of classic role-playing games may appreciate the old-school presentation because it prioritizes charm and readability over graphical realism. The environments are varied enough to maintain visual interest, and important story moments benefit from expressive dialogue scenes and fantasy-inspired artwork. The soundtrack complements the adventure effectively with orchestral-style fantasy music that supports both exploration and combat. Peaceful town themes, emotional story tracks, and energetic battle music help maintain the atmosphere throughout the game. While the soundtrack may not be especially groundbreaking, it reinforces the traditional fantasy tone and helps make the world feel alive during quieter moments of exploration. The game does have some weaknesses that become more noticeable during longer sessions. Enemy encounters can occasionally become repetitive, particularly in areas where grinding is required to progress. Some pacing issues also emerge during extended stretches of exploration and backtracking. The narrative, while enjoyable, relies heavily on familiar RPG clichés that experienced genre fans will likely recognize immediately. Technical limitations tied to the RPGMaker engine are also visible in movement animations, interface design, and environmental interaction. Despite these flaws, Final Quest succeeds because of its clear passion for classic fantasy RPG design. The game understands the appeal of traditional role-playing adventures and focuses on delivering a satisfying journey built around exploration, combat, progression, and storytelling. It does not attempt to become a cinematic blockbuster or reinvent the genre. Instead, it embraces nostalgia and creates an experience that feels sincere and comfortable for fans of older RPGs. For players who enjoy retro-inspired fantasy adventures filled with exploration, party customization, and classic turn-based combat systems, Final Quest offers an enjoyable and lengthy journey through a world shaped by war and ancient magic. Its nostalgic structure, rewarding progression, and strong sense of adventure help make it a memorable indie RPG despite its technical limitations. Beneath its modest presentation lies a genuine fantasy adventure that captures the spirit of old-school role-playing games while still providing enough depth and atmosphere to remain engaging throughout the entire campaign.

SnowDe
