Fields of Mistria

I absolutely love this game. I hate sounding like a bot lol but this game is amazing. I haven't even made it through Year 1 yet, from the big things like the Spring Festival and the great characters and how they seem to grow closer throughout the game and it feels so natural like its happening overtime, to the small things like the chests, the way you can click the hotbar to select, sometimes i dont be feeling like pressing the number keys or scrolling the middle scroll thing lol. Anyways, I would give this game a shot if you are anyone who wants a chill game you can start to immerse yourself in. I was scared I couldn't at first because I'm used to fast paced games like Marvel Rivals, but I'm really enjoying this game and I'm going to stick it through to the end and comment again once I'm done (Might even 100% it).

A fun game for fans of Stardew Valley with enough differences in story and game play that it doesn't feel identical to Stardew. Lots of fun!

I think in a lot of ways this 'cozy game' falls in line with a lot of the others. Animal Crossing style fishing & bug catching. Stardew Valley mines. Seeing these kinds of things can kind of put you off playing seemingly the same game again. However, where this game differs makes it really stand out. Biggest thing is the characters. They start out a bit too friendly. Very few real people act like golden retrievers when you first meet them. However, as the game goes on and you have more moments with them, these moments very earned and precious. Never really cared about characters in the other games (most feel one note), so this was a big plus for me. Pacing of days & money making is also a cool distinction. The days are short, so everything just has you running around a little quickly, which I like. The best way to make money is actually to combine everything that you've found and make products to sell, versus other games like this where there is clearly an optimal crop/animal/bug to make a fortune off of. This makes (almost) everything you do feel valuable, as it will help you make SOMETHING to make you rich. Consequence of this is you might hoard a lot, but I think the trade off is worth it. If you like 'cozy games' and you want more, then this will definitely scratch that itch.

To be honest, if you've ever played "Stardew Valley" then you'll love this game as well. I enjoy the task and the characters' stories and I do enjoy the magic aspect of the game. My only real problem I have with the game is the process it takes to get to marriage. This very well might have been a problem on my end, because I took a break and never finished the game when the update came out, but I am not the biggest fan of how long it takes to be able to marry a character. If you completed the mines BEFORE the update came out than do not worry about this review. It is still an over all AMAZING game!!
