A solid 7/10 game that fits into the cosy farm-sim genre without taking any risks. I'm a bit surprised how overwhelmingly positive reception this game is getting as it's basically just Stardew Valley with a bit more content, but no multiplayer. if you compare to other games that have released since Stardew, this game doesn't do very much unique stuff. If you want more of the same then this game is probably for you. 1) The writing is a bit better than similar farming sim games, but the lack of any voice acting makes the game suffer. Also a lot of the characters are quite one-dimensional. I was expecting the "dating" system to be better, but it's just a small cutscene with no dialogue. 2) The perk system is cool, but the large majority of perks are pretty useless and you reach max level pretty fast. 3) A lot of people rave about the town progression - while it is cool, it doesn't really feel impactful. E.g. I did a quest to upgrade the restaurant but it doesn't look different at all? 4) The art style is also just... fine? I like the old-anime style characters, but that's about the only unique thing about it. 5) There's not a lot of seasonal events compared to other farming sims. No minigames or real rewards for these events. Other games I would recommend that are probably better than this... Rune Factory 4 Sun Haven My Time at Sandrock Graveyard Keeper
