Fields of Mistria

Fun game. I tried to play without worrying about efficiency and optimization and just having relax, but game literally tells you the crops' sell price and growth time. My greedy ass couldn't ignore that, thus I finished liked 68% of the game by the end of year 1. That being said, this game is not really a wiki game (like Terraria and Stardew Valley), as you can find out everything without the need of trial and error (gifts for example). Great game absolutely recommend it if you want to reheat Stardew Valley's Nachos. I don't think it's a better game (though stores do stay open every day regardless of the time), it's still fun to play. My only complaint is that some characters don't feel like people a lot of the time. Especially with how much they talk about what you donate to the museum, LIKE OKAY CAN I LISTEN ABOUT YOUR DAY I WANT TO GET TO KNOW YOU MROE THAN SOME BUG THAT CAMOFLAUGES AS A FLOWER!!!! The only museum related dialogue I liked was from Landen, when he was just checking craftmenship of the displays but his retired ass ended up wandering around the museum, that was funny given that his whole personality is being retired. But some characters feel flat. Luc is bug boy, Maple is wannabe royalty, Landan is retired, Celine loves flowers, Eiland is sweet tooth historian, Adeline is Ganyu, Balor is a greedy merchant (I realized I probably shouldn't make a Jewish joke here), March is a big Tsundere, etc etc. Most of their dialogue boils down to these traits. And too much attention went to Celine. Compared to the other singles, Celine is the poster girl for the game (which is already too much), is the only character with more than 2 sprite poses, is 1 of 2 characters who has an expression that shows off a sillier side to them (the other is Juniper), and the only character with a unique bath pose. Like leave some love for the other characters man, Reina is stuck with her hands behind her head. I spoke too much about the negatives of the characters. The only time I am actively looking forward to hearing everyone speak, is Friday at the Inn. It always has fun dialogue and even souvenirs such as food items that I will never eat. You even get to be a part of the conversation later on. I really like that. Game used to lag whenever you pick up money from boxes or trees, but they fixed that. The game runs perfectly fine now.
