About
You struck a deal with a dragon: twenty years of protection for twenty years of dinner service. The island thrives under the beast's watchful eye, as long as the meals keep coming.

Every year, the dragon wakes up hungrier. You roll dice to work your island, harvest ingredients, fuse them into recipes, and cook them down in the Scorchpot — the pot you keep full or end up in. Get the meal right and you prosper. Get it wrong and you're smoke.
Build farmsteads, shrines, and harbors across your hex-grid island, each one changing how the board pays out. The best runs start with a handful of tiles and end with a machine that buries the dragon in food. Then the odds tighten, the dragon turns picky, and you tear the whole thing down and rebuild while it's on fire.
Feed the Scorchpot, keep the dragon happy, and outlast the contract.

Build a scoring engine — Place farms, shrines, and harbors so they feed each other. 50+ buildings and 80+ recipes to mix and upgrade, until a handful of tiles becomes board-breaking numbers.
Every meal is a math puzzle — Combine ingredients into recipes that boost Flavor and Essence, multiplying your Fodder score into absurd, screen-shaking numbers.
Press your luck — Win in fewer seasons for a bigger payoff, but each year you stay raises the stakes: harsher odds, hungrier dragons, the odd tantrum that torches your board.
Build your dice — 20+ types: odd, even, colored, even dice carved into six sixes. Tune your tray and pray the dragon's merciful.
Broken combos, on purpose — Bend the rules, break the math, and rebuild when everything catches fire.
Hand-drawn, every inch — Every dragon, building, and meal drawn by Daniela, the artist half of the married duo who made the game.

For combo addicts — If you've broken Balatro or Slay the Spire wide open with one overpowered synergy, you'll feel at home.
Quick to pick up — Roll, cook, feed: you've got the loop by your first year. Staying ahead of the dragon for twenty is the hard part.
Cozy on top, ruthless underneath — Hand-drawn and warm, right up until the fire catches.
Cook cleverly, plan badly, or just roll with it — the dragon doesn't care how you win, only that you feed the beast on time. And yes, you can pet the dragon.

Sums Steam only; GOG, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Catan Balatro Vore!! 11hr Review at a mid ascension level with the default baron dragon, from someone that has played balatro and and Catan and doesn't particularly like Catan, I'll probably play a decent bit more! It seems like a fun diversion, I could see easily 40+ hours out of this, its fun to repeat. Only a few lag moments as far as bugs to consider at this v1.0 release but its been entirely playable, which is a good sign. Will update this review as I come to it later in my play.
This game is fun, but really hard. One slipup and you're *cooked*. Each failed run, you learn from how you failed.

Stellar game about babysitting dragons and munching on peasants or ... something Cute humour and fun theme, the whole atmosphere is fun. I love the artstyle as well, very medieval! The tutorial was even voiced acted, that was a cool surprise. But as most roguelites the real meat is in the gameplay itself. - It's a mix of resource generation and dice-based multiplicative scoring along with some interesting twists. - The tutorial is well done and clear, I don't think it's missing much if at all. - Each dragon enemy plays very differently, the difficulty is definitely there I've felt, unless you can consistently pull off crazy broken builds (which I haven't been able to do every time) - Difficulty is definitely there and not simply numbers go up thankfully. - The length of the runs feels appropriate and you can easily blaze through it if you find yourself scoring too much. - The shop changes every round so it feels fairly dynamic and you can pivot fairly easily if needed - There are an okay amount of unlocks, not too much to feel grindy I don't think but we'll see how it is after a while. There are some QoL that could be added for smoother gameplay and more gamification that could be done to make it more fun to play on repeat (and maybe a daily run mode?) but it's definitely towards the top of my list and highly recommended, you will not be disappointed!
This game is only similar to Settlers of Catan in terms of the diceroll/hex tile mechanic. Everything else is fresh and unique. Truly a gem in the rough. I only stumbled on this game by accident. It deserves more visibility. If you love solo puzzle/board games with high replayability, this is it.
Makes your cursor into a tiny leather gauntlet. A+ It's also a fun game.
Very nice little combo game - like others said, if you like Balatro and board games like Catan with building your city and scoring poitns, then this will be your cup of tea. Looking forward to purchase this on mobile to spend countless hours during travels.
