For a free game, this is amazing, it's sort of scary but not as bad as the other fears to fathom games. Still for free you can't get better then this.

positive critical· bar length = how often the theme comes up
Nice quick (100% first play through) horror game that is a very well crafted expirence 8/10
I know the game length is only 10 minutes, but that Alert NPCs achievement was staggering for me due to hardware issues on my end. Initial thoughts? For a free to play title, you really cannot complain a lot for having paid nothing but 10 minutes of your time. It's very basic/minimal in its approach, but I wanted to play it as the first entry in the Fears to Fathom franchise. Worth the time spent in my opinion. The paranoia of being home by yourself isn't done that much in horror these days, and it brings out some creep factor to it. My only real "gripe" is that there are no adjustable options, so prepare your eardrums for some loud as hell jumpscares that you cannot turn down. Having choices with consequences was a nice touch although I think a few would be irritated having to start the game over on making a bad decision because the game will scream, crash, and you'll start from the beginning.
The first of an amazing series All though it did lag a bit for me
the next episodes that you pay for have more to offer, i know, but i was expecting something a little more for an introduction. home alone isn't intended to be a demo, and while it's a good opening into what to expect from fears to fathom in terms of atmosphere and ideas, it's a little lacking. aside from the realistic portrayal of how it felt to be home alone at 14 and the little things like
noticing the back door slightly ajar and the old man walking up the stairs from the corner of your eye while eating on the couch
, there's nothing else to comment on. and not knowing whether or not your microphone is connected to the game, 0 settings, walking up the stairs being clunky and slow for some reason... i guess it's alright, but eh. the actually good episodes being paywalled is neither good, nor bad, just a desicion that exists and was made. play it for what it's worth, you can complete it in 30 minutes
