LOVE IT ITS A GREAT GAME
I almost ♥♥♥♥ myself and i did hide in my girlfriends arms (the person who made me play this and several other horror games) for like half the playtime. One weird thing i encountered is that this 14 year old couldnt walk the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stairs to save his life, it was a miserable jingle upward. Good game. Thanks, i hate it.
Was so scary I needed a blanket with me. 10 out of 10 would recommend to others
One of the best short horror experiences I've played. Fears to Fathom: Home Alone is a really simple game on paper: you're playing as Miles, a teenager who's home alone while his parents are away. But somehow, the game manages to make an ordinary house feel incredibly uncomfortable. What I really like is how realistic everything feels. You're not fighting monsters or running around an abandoned asylum. You're just at home, doing normal things, using your computer, getting something to eat, watching TV and texting people. And that's exactly what makes it scary. The atmosphere is probably my favorite part. The VHS-style visuals, the sounds of the house, the darkness outside and the little details in the environment create this feeling that something is wrong, even when nothing is happening. The texting system is also really well done. Getting messages while you're alone makes the situation feel much more personal, especially when the messages start becoming more suspicious. The game isn't extremely long, but I actually think that's a good thing. It tells its story without dragging it out, and because it's free, there's really not much to complain about. Some of the horror moments are predictable, but there were still a few moments where I genuinely felt uncomfortable. The game understands that sometimes hearing something or seeing something for just a second is scarier than a huge jumpscare. If you like realistic psychological horror, creepy home invasion stories or games like this where the atmosphere does most of the work, I definitely recommend giving it a try. It's free, it's short, and it's surprisingly creepy. Definitely worth playing if you're into horror games.
