About
FEAR OF FAITH is a co-op dieselpunk survival horror game where cloned soldiers raid cursed WWII bunkers to recover SYNTRUM, the essence of those who never returned. Choose from four classes, invoke miracles through FAITH, drink BEER to control your FEAR, and improvise with weapons and physics-based equipment. Explore procedurally generated levels and scavenge everything you need to face a B.O.S.S. that punishes the unprepared.

Combine different classes and spells to interact with the environment and overcome obstacles and monsters in unique ways.
Ignite oil puddles? Electrify water? Polymorph a GHOUL into a RAT? Or just cast silent step and sneak through the bunker in total stealth - it all depends on your skill and will.
Each class has its own passives and spells. Find the perfect synergy, or form a full priest squad to bring TRUE FAITH into the bunker.

Casting spells will consume your FAITH, which causes you to be in FEAR.
Some eldritch horrors can drain your FAITH as well, and if you fail to keep it steady, SHE will come for you. Then you will become a GHOUL... or something worse.
Reduce your FEAR with alcohol or ally spells, keep the generator lights on, and buy some COPIUM during the mission.

Slowly open doors to check for traps, or kick them open during a chase.
Every gameplay item is physical - grab it, throw it, or use it directly from your hands. You can even throw away a grenade triggered by a tripwire.
Your teammates can catch items mid-air, BUT DON'T TOSS THEM AN ACTIVE GRENADE! It tends to separate the team. BY LIMBS.

Fuel the light to keep FEAR away, or embrace the DARK for greater gain.
When the generator is active, it restores your FAITH and slightly tames the monsters - but blocks paths filled with valuable loot.

Dive into an alternate World War II era setting, where dieselpunk technology and eldritch horrors collide.
Do not FEAR Unreal Engine 5. We kept our FAITH and did our best to optimize it. Any lag is pure HERESY or simply the work of Empire enemies.

Reviews
Interspecies Reviewers This game is actually pretty good… meeh if you can survive the first mission. The action is decent, the horror is creepy, and the shooting is surprisingly non existent. The problem is that the first mission feels less like a "building a core gameplay loop" and more like the developers personally challenging you to uninstall the game.
This game feels like it has a lot of potential, but it feels like it is in a very early beta stage. The devs are onto something, and have the roots of some cool mechanics in place. I think it'll be worth coming back to in a year or so.

positive critical· bar length = how often the theme comes up
It's a really fun gameplay loop and even with the jank it works more than well enough for the cost, the theme and setting are pretty cool as well. Only really downside IMO is that solo doesn't seem to work, people will randomly join you. That being said I've only had positive experiences thus far.
BOSS fights in friendslop game that something new, but need more polishing and balance changes
It is playable in solo, but like other coop games its muuuuch better with 1-2 friends. Class system are cool, spells a bit complicated
Buggy, but still fun
FEAR OF FAITH is a surprisingly atmospheric co-op survival horror game. Exploring its dark dieselpunk bunkers, surrounded by oppressive lighting, strange noises, unpredictable monsters, and supernatural events, creates a constant feeling that something is about to go wrong. What makes it stand out is how well that horror mixes with chaotic co-op gameplay. Magic interacts with the environment, almost every object is physics-based, and even simple situations can quickly turn into panic when someone drops a grenade, attracts a monster, or accidentally hits a teammate instead. It is still an Early Access game, so there are some clunky mechanics, performance issues, and frustrating boss encounters. But the atmosphere, originality, and memorable co-op moments already make FEAR OF FAITH easy to recommend.
While i am quite enjoying the game, it has been a let down in a select few areas. I don't know if artillery is bugged or what, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use them. You can rotate them, but there are no clear indicators of how you load them, or even shoot them. It makes zero sense, I've tried looking at the obvious places where you SHOULD be able to load and fire them, but absolutely no prompts. The first boss in Dead Passage is also immensely disappointing. I like the design, the moveset isn't terrible. But the boss is so fast, and JUST bum rushes you. It has a gun, I'd like to use it a bit more. Disappointingly, it seems like the boss just has a damage cone when it shoots instead of firing actual bullets. I'd like it to be more important to stick to the beams that are in the room. But it's constantly pushing you along with a small horde of husks that also won't leave you alone. And this is paired with a genuinely abysmal stamina system that is so insanely oppressive for no reason. Sprinting takes up stamina, jumping takes even more stamina and swinging a weapon takes around as much. I'm fine with that. But there is zero reason why it should be so slow to regenerate. I'm already an asthmatic in real life, I don't need to be one in a videogame where combat is a pretty big part of the experience. And especially not in a boss fight where both the mobs and the boss are on your ass 24/7, giving you zero breaks. There are rooms in the boss arena that have ammo, but then the boss and enemies can just clog the doorway and essentially make the boss impossible to beat if you're stuck with no viable weapons, like I was. And that room was spawning artillery shells and... flare gun ammo. What the hell am I going to do with a flaregun against a mecha? I've tried. That doesn't do damage to the boss, OR the husks until they're downed. Why don't these rooms spawn actually usable ammo, and maybe the odd gun or grenade here or there. Was this just not playtested? Personally, for a horror game like this, I'd have preferred if the overall movement and pace was slowed a bit for more grounded, weighty movement. I'd feel like it'd just feel better. And alarms are basically impossible to deal with if you don't turn off the power. The game says to open a door slowly to avoid triggering them, but you can't. The only other option: push/pull, triggers the alarm all the same. I don't know why you just didn't go for an Amnesia-esque door interaction system so you can actually interact with doors as slowly or quickly as you want. Overall, while I was enjoying the game and the leadup to the boss felt cool. I just felt like I wasted my time just to get screwed over by ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss design, and poorly thought out mechanics. Also the guns are shoddy, I know for a damn fact I shot a ghoul in the head twice at point blank range, and not once did the game give me ANY feedback that I was doing damage, or that the bullets or even hitting. And clicking "Info" in the buy screens doesn't do anything. The least it could do is provide a description of the item and what it does. It doesn't have to do anything special.
Great
