Amazing mechanics, challenge and balancing. I was obsessed with this game and even modded it.
It's a very satisfying and challenging game to play, nothing out there quite like it. Couple of downsides are that you need an unofficial patch to fix a late game solution (which the game is "unwinnable" without) and some actions don't make sense (Japan got stuck in a permanent economic super depression, nothing fixed it), but aside from those it's pretty good for the price and being an almost 14 year old game

Great game but very challenging
Fate of the World offers the illusion of agency in a crisis where actual agency has been systematically stripped from individuals. It's a technically competent game that transforms existential dread into entertainment, allowing players to experiment with planetary destruction from the comfort of their gaming chairs. The true horror isn't in its disaster scenarios but in how closely they mirror our current trajectory.
A hard game with an important message
Very difficult and very frustrating. Couldn't beat it after a while unless I wanted to cheat, but I didn't want to give this environmentalist propaganda anymore time.
One of my favorite all time games, especially with the unofficial patch.
One of the most boring games I've ever played.
Vague, boring microamagement fest. I don't understand why games like this always have to turn politics into a tedious micromanagement gambling simulator.
Terrific game
