Very fun survivor-like with online co-op that works, something that's very rare in the genre. There's lots of characters, weapons, and what not to unlock. Devs are very active and still adding content and polishing the game. For the price it more than worth it. For the linux users among us, my experience with it has been perfect. Works ootb, including online play and controller support if that's your thing.
Criminally underrated survivor game.
Overall I do enjoy the game but I do have some feedback for things that I think would be a source of improvement 1) better infrastructure for joining a friends private game, the join on through steam is less than ideal and the ability to make a sort of group waiting room would be nice 2) the maps are a bit quiet, having theme music would be a lot more enjoyable, given that the ads for the game have rock music playing over the matches. 3) the games unlock loop can be a bit of a grind, to the point that I am actually a bit worried that once I get everything unlocked I might end up not wanting to play more because of a feeling of fatigue with it. All of that said I do enjoy the game and enjoy the character unlocks and the item options and builds. I do have issues with a few maps but overall I do enjoy playing it and love being able to play with friends. There is also something nice where higher tier players have hopped into open runs I have had and helped me make it to the end, making me want to do the same for newer players and help them out.

Playing solo is such a brutal grind. I have 130 hours logged at the time of review and I'm just short of 70% completion. There are missions I received in my first hour of gameplay that I *still* can't complete. And it's awesome! (if you're into that kind of thing) One thing is for certain: I absolutely feel like I've gotten way more than my money's worth of enjoyment out of this game
This game is better than Vampire Survivors... there, I SAID IT. I SAID IT. Don't buy a starbucks coffee today, buy this game.
This is the most poorly balanced game I've ever played. The first level is so easy you can literally afk it. Then as you progress through the levels, the dev's idea of a challenge is to make every level a labyrinth. The game has no map or mini map to guide you. You have to spend hours attempting each map over and over again to memorize the sprawling paths. Then they decide to kick the difficulty up a notch by making ranged enemies auto-hit you with undodgeable attacks that kill you in two hits. By the way, these ranged enemies spawn 50 at a time so you just instantly die. 90% of the items and characters in this game are useless. The meta progression takes so long that I'm 50 hours in and I'd estimate I'm about 5% of the way through the gold upgrades. The only good thing this game has going for it is co-op, but there's no lobby feature so you have to start a run, then invite everyone, then everyone joins the run late and everyone wasted precious time since each map is severely time limited before guardians spawn and kill you in one hit. They also made monsters spawn in a circle around each player, so if you're not standing right on top of your friends then you make monsters spawn on them and kill your team instantly.
great game
solid vs like
So far the game is great! Steam deck users - make sure you change the controls so you can select, ban, or choose the item during level ups. After that the main menu is navigated through touch. All in all this is a fantastic game.
It's often tedious to progress solo, a lot of weapons seem downright bad, and the game gives you very little information through its kinda messy UI. But I keep coming back to it, because it's so satisfying when a build comes together and you unlock new things, of which there are many, and it's beyond worth the little I paid for it. Still hate archers though
