FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time

The game is pretty simple, but has a fun loop for as long as the story lasts. Not winning any awards for writing, but the story does its job. Overall, this would be a very good first ARPG and very kid-oriented. If you're fine with it being on the basic side, the game has a lot of gameplay to offer and a stable, if weirdly limted multiplayer experience that's fun to mess around with friends in.

Final Value $44.39 81 Hours - Repetitive, Colorful, Predictable Alright so lets give it my review ... The game was interesting ... So lets do what I can to properly review this. If you want a game ... meaning a thing that can entertain you ... than this can do that -- that being said it gets by on a few merits; it hits the target audience which I am not ... its marked 10+ It shows in many choices including repetition and puzzles. All combat can be summed up as accessible. This game does nothing wrong but also feels like it was originally meant to be an MMORPG that got heavily stripped down. The Story is -- a story -- at times it feels very disjointed almost stale; characters however Edward and Rem ... they really make the game sparkle. I got this game because I wanted it ... I took a 20 dollar hit which because I was depressed and needed something new I don't mind ... It is a game with charm and is worth playing. Post game can be summed up to 'collect all the things' The base building is subpar with many interesting choices and thus feels tacked on. I didn't hate it but I will likely never play this game again. Tacking on a rougue mode to lack luster combat does not fix the inherit issues.

DISCLAIMER i play on Switch 2!! also it runs great on switch 2, absolutely zero issues, and my switch 2 runs silent. Also the free DLC does work on switch 2 as well so if you cant get it on pc, yet have a switch 2, do not be afraid to get the game on switch 2 Very entertaining, yet grindy, its a healthy\addictive type grind, a good buy regardless. even if the game is not for you, you likely would enjoy it for at least a few days i would imagine. plenty of exploration at least. and good soundtrack in most areas. also base camp becomes sort of like Animal Crossing if you like that sort of stuff.. yes.. i said Animal Crossing. be aware dungeons in this game are NOT like Legend of Zelda, just rooms in a grid with combat and resources to collect mostly. im yet to find actual puzzles like in Zelda, and dungeon themes are generally basic caves n stuff, and they are all small thus far, im yet to find a Zelda sized or styled dungeon. there are no dungeon maps, items, etc... one of the shrines i found on the continent did have a small puzzle but it was just one room and simple. the closest thing to Zelda is the continent in the game, it is basically like BotW or TotK. some advice, if you get burned out, that is ok, just play the game later on when you crave it. there are plenty of guides built into the game to refresh you on the controls n stuff. also spoiler later on you get buddies aka team members like many rpgs, i HIGHLY suggest you mute all voices in the settings and do NOT forget to reactivate voices before continuing main quest\red quest icons or starting a new life. to Steam, thank you steam!!!... for letting me make this review even tho i don't own the game on steam

This game is absolutely amazing. I’ve been playing it non-stop for like two days and there are still new lands and islands being opened up to me. If you loved Animal Crossing and Zelda Breath of the Wild, this is the game for you! All the cozy good feels mixed with some fun combat! Crafting, exploring, building, this game almost has it all. I say “almost” because it lacks romance options. For the game to be fully rounded, it would need this. All the other characters are flirting with eachother, reminiscing about past loves, making references to spicy situations, (which is hilarious) but to our hero? Nothing. Nada. It’s like having asexuality forced on us. Still, the game is flat out amazing if you like cozy games. Worth EVERY DAMN PENNY.
