Reviews
Okay, so I really want to love this game, and I do, BUT, I unfortunately can't recommend it. Let me start with the bad, because there only a few reasons for the negative review. One of the 2 most frustrating things for me was the amount of times the game crashed. Every single time I got a PC notification (Teams/Discord/Screenshot/Steam Achievement/anything that made my computer go *bloop*), and the game would immediately crash, all progress lost for that day. This could be rectified for the most part by entirely closing all other apps when playing, EXCEPT for the Steam achievements, which unlock RIGHT at the end of the day. And if you don't know it's coming and don't save prior to it, you have to do the WHOLE day again! The other major bug is preventing the completion of the potion quest, which is pretty much the last thing I need to do, and the game won't recognise its completion. I was aiming to collect all achievements for this game because I DID enjoy it, and now I'm at the end and beyond frustrated. DO NOT buy the DLC before completing the game, or you will probably regret it. Fortunately, I have not. The rest of the bugs for me were manageable, and could be solved by restarting the game. Overall, I did have a lot of fun. The characters, story, art and music is cute, and there is lots to do. It very well could have been a recommend from me if not for the two previously mentioned issues.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Incredibly fun game, my wife and I really enjoyed the game. Unfortunately I must now do my due diligence and protect others. This is not the first game Forte Labs has destroyed after their conquest of Phoenix Labs. First they completely stripped apart and ruined Dauntless, now they leave us with a single player game and no way to play with friends even by hosting a server on your own ports. I promise you if they could have stripped this game down to absolutely nothing, made you buy all of your farm and tool upgrades, buy every cosmetic, buy your faerie wings, all with real cash. They would have done it without any regret. I will now leave a small snippet from my scathing review on Dauntless to serve as a plea and a warning for anyone that comes after and finds this game, or any game owned by former Phoenix Labs before Forte Labs came and ruined it all. This has to stop, we can not continue to support this or we will continue to lose everything. "Please if you care even the tiniest bit about yourself and the gaming industry, do not buy this game and fall prey to it, please do not support Forte Labs acquisition of Dauntless, and please do not continue to support this predatory practice these companies are following that is quickly ruining the gaming industry as a whole."
Note: Online features are not covered in this review. Help the Wisp Mother calm the elemental sprites around Azoria and become the island’s hero, all while sporting fairy wings. Information • Autosaves frequently, but there is also manual save. • They/them pronouns available in character creation. • Gameplay involves: farming, cooking, crafting, fishing, mining, logging, foraging, critter catching, animal caretaking, combat, quests/job tasks, and exploration (which involves swimming). • Technically, there is NPC interaction and gift giving, but it is much less than typical farming sims. • Fishing can be pretty challenging, but there is an option in the settings to make it easier. There are also food items that make fishing easier. It’s like playing tug-o-war with the fish, but you can’t let the line snap or the fish escape. • Critter catching is mostly easy. Rare critters are sometimes challenging, but the higher the skill level is, the easier it becomes. There are also food items that make catching easier. • Combat is super easy. Definitely designed with casual gamers in mind. I didn’t use a healing item for so long. It only started getting somewhat challenging in the final dungeon. Praises • Gameplay was addicting. It definitely kept my mind busy and distracted. • Storage shed is available immediately and has unlimited space, so no need for a bunch of chests all over the place. • Crafting/cooking from storage. Very convenient. • The menus/user interface are really nice and easy to navigate. Very polished and stylish. • The game is overall pretty and cute. The fae/fantasy vibe is definitely all around. The player’s character is given fairy wings not too long into the game by the Wisp Mother. The wings allow the character to double jump, allowing them to reach places previously unreachable. • Swimming is fun, because you can find a lot of hidden areas. Hidden areas often have item recipes for crafting. The water is also pretty, but I typically think that about water in games. • There’s an NPC in a wheelchair, so that’s some nice rep. • The NPCs seem decently diverse in general. I also noticed that there were several afro-textured hairstyles in character customization. Complaints • Enemies and critters occasionally clip through graphics. • Occasionally, the farm animal caretaking menu remains open after taking care of an animal and the only way to get it to disappear is saving and reloading. • Color palettes are unlocked by obtaining certain items of particular colors, but it’s unfair for some, depending on what their favorite color is, because for example, all the red stuff is in the final dungeon, so players who like red won’t be able to make their furniture/decor items red until late game. • Flower hybrids are a pain in the a$$. No one wants to keep track of all that. There are six different flowers with six different colors at the beginning, and you’re supposed to cross-pollinate all of them until every flower type has every color. And crossing different colors creates hybrid colors too. Just … omfg, no. This isn’t fun. • Story and characters are extremely shallow and superficial. The only reason to get married is for the achievement (assuming it works for you), because there is no real romance. Your character will go on a few dates, then the NPC of choice will eventually declare they love you, but it’s just completely empty, and feels so abrupt and weird. No one has a personality, so you’re choosing exclusively for looks. • Several achievements locked behind paid DLC. (I might’ve been willing to get that DLC if the story/characters were actually written well.) To sum it up: gameplay is good and addicting, but the story and characters are awful. So, if you’re one of those people who don’t care too much about story, then you should totally be fine with this game. I do care about story, so I am disappointed about that, but I didn’t hate the game because it did keep me occupied for quite a while. Important note: According to Steam discussions, several achievements still don’t work and the devs are no longer working on the game, so there will be no more updates/fixes for it. Due to the information above, I’ve decided that this tips the scale into the negative. On principle, I just can’t give it a good review. Bad story/characters and broken achievements? Abandoned by devs? Sorry, but no.
Cannot recommend when developers abandoned and blind sided everyone by getting rid of multiplayer feature.
Is it an ok farming game? Sure. Is it as good as Stardew Valley or the My Time games? Far from it. The Good is that it has nice graphics and has some nice landscapes. The Bad is that the NPCs are super bland. Do friend quest to raise relationships, but if a romance candidate it is ALWAYS romantic, which is annoying for immersion. Otherwise the quests give u nothing. The game is grindy, but that is expected, just that it gets boring when the npcs are so lame. The Ugly is the price for this. $30 is outrageous for a game that is so poorly done. I got it on sale fortunately so I stuck it out, but it has always felt hollow. Even the story is very simplistic. Only buy if on sale and even then, there are better games.
Feels pretty unpolished and linear for sure--really tried to give it a chance though! There's not much to do, it's confusing to get into, all that jazz. If you're looking for a sick farming sim I recommend: Stardew Valley, Sun Haven and Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
still so many bugs. which feels disrespectful at this point. Why am i sending my animals to breed, but get nothing back. Why arent more urgent quests pushed in your face. Get hycaniths but cant because you need so many gems to get further annoyi, g shiiiii time frames. bought this game when it first came out, still buggy af. feel like im wasting my time and def my money,
The art style is cute, it has an adorable environment, funny animations like the character is like a tossed puppet when jumping here and there, and the vibes are really just calming, it just clicks for me, if you know what I mean! The story is just fine, not that great, but not that bad either. But for game play, some folks hate how you have to stay much in the mines to upgrade stuff, but I do not mind the grind that much, because I really like the crafting management farming sim type of games, and that's kinda typical. As you progress, gathering resources would definitely improve, so that's good. Plus, it's Deck Verified! But here comes the saddest part: I kept disconnecting when playing with others. We can't play it well enough to stay for even an hour playing. I bought this to enjoy its co-op aspect, but this game failed in that one. Sadly, I eventually stopped, and just discovered that this game seems to be dead: no support, no updates, nothing new. I should have listened to most negative reviews that this game is not being supported anymore and that this was abandoned. I even bought the whole package. Cannot refund it anymore. Fair warning: Give this game a hard pass if co-op means a lot to you. If you'll play alone, I guess it's just an okay game. Well, not for me anymore. P.S. What bewilders me though is the thought of the existence of healing magic, and yet there's a cripple carpenter. I get the idea of being inclusive, sure, which is great. I guess it's not worth deep diving into how it is impossible to heal that in a world full of magic, there's still limitation to it. Such an interesting concept.
Sadly, on September 10, 2025 this game will become abandonware. Updates have already ceased, developers have been laid off and online co-op will be disabled. It could have been a nice, cozy game with some quirks to iron out. Unfortunately as of now I cannot recommend buying it anymore.
Im GLAD the servers are still staying online! Fae Farm is fun, so it would be a huge miss! <3
