Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6/day in the week to Jul 16 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The "ghosts copy what you do" idea is a fun concept, but they don't really *do* anything with it. It's also the *only* thing they do. The game really could have used some online multiplayer to shake things up.
Great co op with awesome ghosts.

meh, wanted to love it but it lacks
Extreme Exorcism, developed by Golden Ruby Games and published by Ripstone, is a tightly designed arcade action platformer that builds its entire identity around a single, brilliantly executed idea. At its core, the game takes a familiar concept—clearing rooms of enemies—and transforms it into something far more dynamic by turning the player’s own past actions into future threats. What begins as a simple exercise in movement and combat quickly evolves into a layered and increasingly chaotic challenge, where survival depends not only on reflexes but on memory, planning, and self-awareness. Each level is presented as a confined arena, with players tasked with eliminating a specific target ghost in order to progress. Movement is immediate and responsive, allowing for quick jumps, dodges, and attacks, which gives the game a strong sense of control from the very beginning. Early rounds are intentionally straightforward, giving players time to understand the mechanics and develop a rhythm. However, the defining twist emerges almost immediately: every time a round ends, a new ghost appears that mimics the exact actions you performed previously. As rounds stack on top of one another, the screen fills with echoes of your past decisions, creating a constantly evolving and increasingly complex battlefield. This mechanic fundamentally changes how the game is played. Instead of focusing solely on the present, players must consider how their actions will affect future rounds. A reckless move that helps you survive in the moment may create a dangerous pattern that becomes difficult to avoid later. This introduces a subtle but meaningful layer of strategy, where success depends on managing not just the current threats, but the accumulation of your own behavior over time. It is a system that rewards foresight as much as skill, turning even simple actions into long-term decisions. Weapons add another dimension to this system, offering a variety of tools that can dramatically alter the flow of combat. From close-range melee attacks to powerful ranged options, each weapon provides different advantages and risks. The key twist, however, is that ghosts will use these weapons in exactly the same way you did, meaning that every choice carries consequences. A powerful weapon might make it easier to clear a round, but it can also create more dangerous ghosts in subsequent rounds. This risk-reward dynamic adds depth to the gameplay, encouraging players to think carefully about how they approach each situation. The game’s pacing is one of its strongest qualities. Matches are fast, intense, and immediately engaging, with very little downtime between attempts. Failure is frequent, but restarts are quick, allowing players to jump back into the action without losing momentum. As the number of ghosts increases, the gameplay becomes more chaotic, requiring split-second decisions and precise movement to survive. At its best, the game creates a sense of controlled chaos, where everything feels overwhelming yet manageable with enough skill and focus. Visually, Extreme Exorcism adopts a retro-inspired pixel art style that emphasizes clarity and readability. The environments are simple but distinct, with each room featuring unique hazards that add variety to the gameplay. Bright colors and clear animations ensure that players can track movement even as the screen becomes crowded with enemies and projectiles. The audio design complements this with energetic sound effects and a lively soundtrack that reinforces the game’s fast-paced nature, even if it does not aim for deep atmospheric immersion. The game offers several modes that expand on its core mechanics. Arcade mode serves as the primary experience, challenging players to progress through a series of increasingly difficult rooms. Challenge mode introduces specific objectives that encourage players to experiment with different strategies, while the local multiplayer mode adds a social dimension that can be both chaotic and entertaining. In multiplayer, the core mechanic becomes even more unpredictable, as multiple players generate their own ghost patterns, leading to matches that are as humorous as they are intense. Despite its strengths, the game does have its limitations. The escalating chaos can sometimes make the screen difficult to read, particularly in later stages where multiple overlapping patterns create visual clutter. While the system is technically fair, these moments can feel overwhelming, leading to deaths that seem abrupt or unavoidable. Additionally, the game’s reliance on its central mechanic means that it does not introduce significant new systems as it progresses, which can make longer play sessions feel somewhat repetitive. Another drawback is the lack of online multiplayer, which limits the social experience to local play. While the couch multiplayer mode is highly enjoyable, the absence of online functionality reduces the game’s long-term appeal for players who do not have access to local co-op or competitive play. The game also places little emphasis on narrative or progression beyond gameplay, focusing almost entirely on its mechanics. Even with these shortcomings, Extreme Exorcism succeeds in delivering a distinctive and highly engaging experience. Its core idea is both simple and innovative, creating a gameplay loop that is easy to understand but difficult to master. The combination of fast-paced action, strategic decision-making, and escalating complexity results in a game that remains exciting even after repeated play. In the end, Extreme Exorcism stands out as a clever and well-executed arcade title that thrives on its originality and tight design. It may not offer the depth or variety of larger games, but it excels within its scope, providing a challenging and rewarding experience that keeps players coming back for just one more attempt.
